The Terrors of Magick or OCD One of the most interesting ways of developing OCD is assuming or having being suggested that you have a power over a circumstance that you necessarily don't. What does that have to do with magick? Well with magick you influence circumstances, you have certain gifts, certain duties and some taboos that you will need to keep in check to keep your magickal gifts growing and your success rate increasing. During the never-ending process of researching who you are in the magickal world, you might assume that you have caused something to happen whether positive or negative while you didn't. Some you would have caused and it is good to own your actions with gratitude and humility whether they were positive or negative. So how can we avoid the obsessions that can be magnified with our magickal practices: 1- know your gifts, what is it that works for you right away, what kind of beings that always surround you and want to help. 2- know your taboos, your energy isn't always beneficial in certain circumstances and it won't be regardless of what you do about it. When I say beneficial I mean it blocks your path after you have dealt with it. Get to know what you do that blocks your path and simply stop doing it and understand when you are being tempted to. 3- know your duties, these are the sacrifices or what you should do to keep your magick flowing through you, it could be from going to the gym to giving offerings to a certain amounts of meditation per day. 4- find a well versed diviner whom you trust and stick with them.
