The fan’s experience with Jim always makes me tear up a little (even if she seemed a little…obsessed with him to a point.) To know that even in the last few years of his life, Freddie was still very much in Jim’s thoughts and he would still attend Queen tributes is so heartwarming. It’s also great to know that Jim’s drunken shenanigans never faded away 😆 Honestly, his behaviour is tame compared to what I’ve witnessed out on the town 😳 I also love the newspaper article at the end, mentioning the huge turn out at Jim’s funeral. Despite being a gay man at such a hostile time (and even 2010 was very different to how it is now,) he had so much respect from his community, to the point where hundreds from such a small town flocked to say goodbye to him. Such a testament to his character ♥️
Yes! I'd have loved to have such an experience with him, meeting and interacting with this beautiful man. And haha yeah, that photo of him with his niece and nephews is so cute🥺
You're very right. The fact that so many people turned up at his funeral shows how well loved he was. I have also heard that the community was very protective of him, and would shoo away the paparazzi that would occasionally try to invade his privacy.
