Farewell Bertie

i mean i can’t be that sad that hes dead because he was an awful person, but i am sad that james left, and yes im aware its been years but i hope that he and his family are doing well

Telephone Cord

He tried to scream, but it was impossible with the telephone cord wrapped around his neck. His legs thrashed, kicking wildly in a lame attempt to hit flesh, but whoever was strangling him saw this coming. He avoided every kick but one.

They both went down, hitting the hard linoleum floor with a thud.

Vision growing dark, head pounding.

No! He was not going to pass out here! If he passed out then no doubt the assailant would only continue to strangle him until he was dead.

He couldn’t die! Not after everything he’d been through- after everything he’d overheard.

He lashed out again. This time his elbow hit flesh and the assailant cried out. The cord loosened, enough for him to take a shaky breath of air, before returning tighter than before.

“N-” He fell into coughs and dark spots slammed into his vision. His hands clawed desperately at the wire to no avail. A few stray tears fell down his cheeks.

"Come on," a familiar voice whispered, but the name slipped his foggy mind. "Pass out already."

Pass out? They didn’t want to kill him?

He tried to move his head to see his attacker’s face, (He had to see them, see the person who was trying to kill him.) but soon the lack of oxygen became too much. He succumbed to the pressing darkness and sank into his attacker’s arms.

“I'm not a fan of puppeteers but I've a nagging fear someone else is pulling at the strings. I can't sit idly, no, I can't move at all I curse the name, the one behind it all...”

[Barbara] had heard the saying “It felt like someone walked over my grave” used to describe a bad feeling… This didn’t feel like that. This felt like she had woken up in her grave. It was the feeling of being trapped with no way out; of being left to suffocate in a place that no one would hear her screams.

Not gunna lie, I really wanted to share this line. It will be a while before I get to post this chapter but I’m looking forward to it.
