Believe it or not, this took me TWO WEEKS to draw. It’s called “Couples and Spies” (for obvious reasons).SuffPsi and CroTuna are the couples. The spies are Sollux, Karkat, and Eridan.

I am a firm believer that Psiioniic wouldn’t approve of Cronus smoking around Mituna and that the only reason Psiioniic doesn’t kill him for it is because: a) it would upset Mituna, and b) Signless won’t let him. I got bored half way through drawing this pic (I originally fully intended for the Descendants to NOT be hiding behind the couch spying on their Ancestors and Dancestors) and decided to add Karkat, Sollux, and Eridan behind the couch spying on their elders. Notice how they are staring at Psiioniic? That’s because they’re afraid he’s going to kill something due to Cronus being “off limits”.

They don’t need mementos or proclamations of their sentiments.  What they have is visceral.  He knew since the moment he saw him that he would be with him until his dying day.  He felt it, a visceral need to be with him, not only to travel with him but to protect him–from not only their high caste persecutors but from himself.  The Signless need only touch him to defuse the frantic crackle of energy that threatens to burn him up.  The Psiionic has never known the peace of a completely blank mind until the Signless whispered into it a soft unassuming all-encompassing, “shoosh” and the noise, the constant distortion, fizzled.  A clear signal, at last, one that broadcasts straight to him, his moirail, through time and space, from one timeline to the next, until his descendant feels it.

And he does–every time he looks at Karkat.

okay...but like...can we establish real quick that literally every single one of the captor’s lives would be better off if the vantas’ weren’t in it + like that kind of hurts me to say but listen

bad things that karkat has done to sollux:

ran a code that sollux told him not to that killed everyones lusus 

was literally the only host player to kill his server before entering the game

just like??? stood there as feferi and kanaya and sollux were all attacked

left a recently-blinded sollux alone and ran away when he heard a honk

good things that karkat has done for sollux:

tried to carry him when he was unconscious but threw him down the stairs and knocked out all his teeth??

bad things kankri has done to mituna:

everything

good things kankri did for mituna:

nothing

bad things the signless did for psiioniic:

convinced him to run away from slavery only to get him enslaved again for much, much longer under the most powerful troll in the universe for thousands of sweeps

idk can it really get much worse than that

good things the signless did for the psiioniic:

a few sweeps of friendship and freedom ?

an almost revolution???

like it’s really sad when you think about it but every single captor would be so much better off without them in their lives yk

omg there’s all these feel good fluff reunion fics about suffpsii but like...did you ever consider the idea that the psiioniic might feel some resentment or anger or even hared against signless if he ever saw him again??

let me explain why

signless convinced psiioniic to run from his slave master. when they got captured, everyone else was lucky enough to be killed but he was stuck as a slave for centuries afterwards. there’s literally no question about it. the psiioniic had it much worse than signless, and a majority (if not all) of his suffering was caused by him.

y’all dont think?? for a minute?? that CENTURIES of manipulation from highbloods and hic HERSELF convincing psiioniic that signless left him here, that this was all his fault, and that he should have never joined the rebellion wouldn’t get to him?? like at least a little bit?

after his torture the signless was killed almost immediately. do you really believe someone who went through thousands of years of physical and mental abuse would feel the same way about the people who left him there? especially knowing that the disciple was alive and never came to save him (and tbh there’s no way hic didn’t rub it in his face that no one attempted to come help him when he gave up everything for them??)

so yeah plz put all my points into consideration and write more fics where signless is expecting to be greeted with his wild and cool best bro  and all psyched up for hugs but psiioniic doesn’t!! exactly feel the same way!!! you know :^)
