I feel like people are getting a little too comfortable with interacting with just characters from the same fandom. Though, this is coming from someone who's been having to do that a lot since KLK is practically dead at this point.
I get that it's something they're more or less use to, but broadening out can help a lot with creativity.
tl;dr- Try crossovers with outside fandoms a bit more often. They're fun and creative.

Mild panic filled Rock’s eyes as she opened the door, Witnessing Mato lifting up her cannon- she had forgotten to dismantle it before leaving. Not good. She hurried over to the cannon, Her hand filling with a blue light as she rushed over the bed to touch the gun. That was on her for leaving it out.
If she had a regular complexion, She would likely look pale - with the blood rushing from her face... a quiet sigh escaping her thin lips... now she just had to get up off the bed. But it was unnaturally comfortable.
“That.. was close. Don’t touch that. It’s not safe for you.”
Was it unfair? should she have gotten angrier at Mato? perhaps.. but would it have changed the events that transpired anyways? no. Rock only had herself to blame.
As someone who has struggled with adhd my whole life, much like anyone with it, we all have our own ways to cope
One of the issues I always have is that I start remembering one little bad thing I said or did, or even something I recently said and start spiraling
However something I am learning to do is tell myself, repeatedly, everything is fine, no one hates you, you are overthinking it etc. Doesn't always work, but the times it does work I feel like I am Improving
