26. Have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? Is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to?

Hmmm, a pattern... I wonder. Does them being disasters count? Cause that sure seems to be a common thing. Mostly in a cute or funny flavour, like oblivious matched with head over heels. I do a lot of contrary shipping too, like if there is something that’s unlikely to happen in canon then, full of spite, I will ship it. Made reading a lot of love polygon manga frustrating cause I will *always* prefer the one least likely to happen. I’m generally pretty easy going I think, I’ll ship most characters provided they are interesting. I don’t really like straight-forward-happily-ever-after-all-I-need-is-you pairings. I find it boring, once they get together I can often lose interest. I’ll quite happily read stories where characters never get together and it’s just unresolved tension forever hahahaha

31. Talk about one of your favorite headcanons for a ship you love.

For you, RiTeru. I think that whenever they are in the same vicinity for too long they’ll turn everything into a barely concealed hostile competition. Who can eat more, who can get up the stairs first, who can pay first, who can open the door for Shigeo first, all of course covered with politeness and backhanded comments. Both of them are too full of pride and spite to let it go, it just escalates. Shigeo doesn’t notice.

As long as the view from every fifteenth-storey window shows the city crumbling into apocalyptic ruin around them, it’s hard to find the right moment to bring it up: Sakurai has to take the first chance he gets.

He corners the kid while he’s alone with his water bottle, recovering from the exertion of his latest round of offensive telekinesis on an implausibly massive scale and still breathing hard, his shoulders heaving. He’s sitting on the arm of a battered old sofa at the edge of the room. There’s more than enough space for Sakurai to sit as well. He doesn’t. This feels like a conversation he should have while standing. He pushes his hands into his pockets and says curtly, “Just thought you might want to know: Miyagawa didn’t make it.”

The kid glances up at him. His face is flushed; his tufty hair is slicked wet and nearly flat by sweat. “Who?” he says politely.

Another Speed Comic! 

I’m trying to loosen up a lot and I think it’s yielding results?

Anyways just about anything by Skippy is one of my favorites. They’re always an excellent balance of humor and heart.

I particularly liked this scene because I sort of imagined Teru hearing that from Sakurai and doing a quick run-through of his personal army like, who tf is miyagawa did I miss somebody in the fight?

And then afterwards he’s like. Oh good nobody died. Or at least nobody that matters right now anyways.

4: what’s your favorite line of dialogue?

Hmm ok so I love a lot of the dialogue from the kids’ scene in Ch. 4. But the exchange that has made me laugh at myself the most so far is this one from Ch. 3:

“And just how would you know about all of that? Just how long have you been following me? Special authorizations or not, this is starting to sound like quite the invasion of my rights as a Japanese citizen-”

“It is our duty to identify potential paranormal threats to our nation, and entirely within our sanctions to learn as much as we can about those threats. But also,” Nagata looked at him with something like disgust. “Most of that info is from your website.”

11: what do you like best about this fic?

So I really truly love the plot for this one, but I also love that it’s long enough that I can shove in a bunch of things that I’ve really been wanting to see more of! Such examples include: Reigen is Teru’s Dad Now, TERU AND SHOU INTERACTION, and Reigen has a LOT more friends than he thinks he does.

!!!!! YES, i still cant believe how well this whole idea works but it seriously does, the gen version could start coming together in canon & i wouldnt even blink. i love that touichirous been humbled by a child already & now he gets to be humbled by a non-psychic too, the ultimate double punch to his ego.

i also feel like way too often in fiction when a child character has a shit parent, theres an expectation that the child character HAS to forgive the shit parent once they apologise or try to improve themselves or whatever, BUT REIGEN WOULD NEVER BE THAT GUY!!! shou has a great ally in reigen, shou has done nothing wrong & the burden is all on touichirou, AS IT SHOULD BE.

shou and reigs go out for lunch to swap deets. shou offers dirt on pops, reigs offers updates and progress reports. at the end of each lunch date, they swap letters

shou is appreciative but also HOLY SHIT UR GONNA DIE. reigen is telling him about his ‘intense rehabilitation regimen’ and shou is just sitting there, stunned. the last person who was so blatantly disrespectful to his dad got loudly dealt with and then quietly disappeared

“i think it’s going well.”  “i think you’re lucky you still have both your hands”  “next week, we’re going on a field trip!”

still, the fact that reigen is getting away with this gives shou hope. maybe pops is changing....

TERU/RITSU, TELL ME EVERYTHING

OH MY GOD!!! Talk about something I wasn’t expecting to ship but god their dynamic is so amazingly good I love them so much. It’s like the opposite of TeruMob where instead of Shigeo just being 100% completely oblivious, Ritsu is 100% hyper aware of every stunt Teruki is trying to pull, whether he is actually trying to pull it or not. He tries so so hard to keep up but let’s face it, Teruki is a master at this game. Can he keep up at all? And for Teruki, I must admit I think he would enjoy actually making progress for once, the challenge of Ritsu’s naturally prickly and icy demeanour, which of course isn’t too much of a challenge because Teruki is Teruki, to be in his natural element and get back up on his self appointed pedestal of relationship mastery (after being knocked off it so many times by Shigeo).

I’ve had my bag snatched before. And then I chased that fucker down and got my stuff back. Luckily he was as unfit as I was, he really should not have been doing snatch and runs. I lost a shoe in the process and in a weird change of events I ended up paying him $2 to give my wallet back. And then I made him go look for my phone because I was sure he had it but he actually didn’t, it had fallen out when he snatched my bag and was left lying on the pavement. I left it there, along with my laptop bag... it really was a weird series of events but the main thing is I got my things back! It was the first time I’d called the police since I was like 4 and I called them because I couldn’t find my Mum.
