he was so fatigued that his brain stopped working for a moment, but once he finally managed to process her question, his head jerked up instantly, an almost horrified look plastered on his face. did he have dark circles? did his hair look weird? had he been drooling? he knew he shouldn’t have let himself doze off in the practice room. ‘no! i just… haven’t been sleeping too well lately…’ his cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but he hoped she wouldn’t notice.

“are you sick?” which is the first thing she asked to the older male, who continued to ramble on about being a grape along with a small mention of a fanfic he read. it wasn’t the weirdest thing that she heard from the other’s mouth, but nonetheless, it was still weird. soojung was curious from where all of this craziness resonated inside of baekhyun. ( jongin said it’s from all the video games he plays and soojung just nodded along. ) a chuckle escaped her lips before checking the time on her phone, raising an eyebrow while looking back to him. “if i’m not mistaken, the rest of exo is late because i don’t see them right now. how are you here without them?”

(–０４): baekhyun can’t help but to show a smile when sooj laughs a bit at his antics. honestly speaking, he didn’t mind babbling on and on about something a bit odd as long as it created laughs. it was how he went about life after all. there’s a small pause before he thinks, blinking a few times. “i was told to meet them here because we all had separate schedules but..” there’s another pause as he takes a look around, gesturing to how silent it is without his groupmates. “--clearly they’re late.”

They were full of Christmas decorations, so they weren't too heavy, but it did seem like a lot since he had four boxes in his hands. "No, I'm alright. They're not that heavy; it's just decorations. her eyes dropped down to read the label on the box, squinting to decode the tiny words in white. she usually wasn’t the type to drink. it wasn’t her thing. but the look on sehun’s face made her feel an inkling of guilt since they hadn’t spoken for the longest time and the only thing she could do to make it up to him was, of course, drinking the night away. “this better be some sweet wine or else i’m going to leave you for some ice cream.” she spoke playfully as she gave in, holding out the glass of wine to him.

(  ` ９４ : when the female gave in to hanging out with him, a wide smile only happens to stretch across his face, almost reaching his ears. his cheeks began to burn, due to the fact that it wasn’t often where he has smiled to the point where he reached pain. pulling out the bottle of wine he took from his hyungs’ when they finished the whole bottle, he began to pour the drink into wine glasses. instead of (what was supposed to be) white wine, out came an orange substance. chewing on his bottom lip nervously, he lets out a light laughter. ‹‹ i actually don’t drink wine. i cleaned this out at least a hundred times and refilled it with orange juice. i hope that’s okay with you. ››

☼⁶¹ — he isn’t really supposed to be around dogs, since he’s allergic to the fur. but he couldn’t say no, not when a close friend of his needed someone to look after her dog for the day. if it really gets bad, then he can always take medicine for his allergies, and that’s why he carries the small dog in his arms as he nears the s.m. entertainment building, not entirely sure if animals are even allowed into the building but he doesn’t care too much. he’s sneak the dog in if anything, because he promised he wouldn’t leave her alone or let her out of his sight all day.

it’s when he’s turning the corner to the street that the building is on that he hears a voice from the opposite direction, a familiar woman walking towards him. from a distance, he doesn’t completely recognize her but the closer she gets, he can see that it’s soojung, who looks surprised, if anything. and the closer she gets, she speaks up, her words not surprising him at all though he only laughs them off, quickly shaking his head.

‘it’s not mine--’ it, of course, meaning the puppy in his arms. ‘looking after her for a friend.. but she’s cute, right? i’d keep her to myself if i could.’
