But can you just imagine Christmas on the Enterprise? The entire crew throws a giant party with music and alcohol and presents, but the bridge crew (and Bones, because he never actually stays in his sickbay) have their own little party. They all drink eggnog and sing Christmas carols while Spock follows along on his lute and Kirk is laughing because Scotty and Chekov are trying to see who can drink the most eggnog and Scotty manages to spill it all over his shirt. Sulu is dancing with Uhura as she sings along to Spock’s melody, the two laughing at Spock’s carefully blank face in such a joyous setting, trying to make him smile and in that effort Sulu dangles a sprig of mistletoe over Spock and Uhura and she kisses him on the cheek and Spock offers a hint of a smile, delighting them both. Jim takes his eggnog and sits next to Bones, and the two take in the sight of their friends, sipping their drinks and watching the glow of Christmas lights in the cheerfully decorated room.
