Classic Days || Blip
It’s a bit strange how accustomed to transportation everyone here has become. Then again, a routine of accustomation to the new and the exciting has practically defined the progress of humanity – new techniques in poetry, the exploration of our cosmos, the start and end of revolution – all successfully integrated into society solely because of humanity’s almost intrinsic ability to accept and adapt to change. So perhaps it isn’t strange at all that teleportation has, to you and to everybody here, become something as degrading as simply routine.
With that, the entire class is teleported to the Plaza – a place now familiar to everybody here. Akihiro and Catherine, their backs facing you, guide you to another place you’ve grown used to seeing. Trial once a week, death once a week, murder once a week – all just as routine as the far more whimsical idea of teleportation.
As you enter the shadowy depths of the trial room, Sumiteru, far away, once again mouths something: “I’ll see you soon.”. It is only the variety in his words that seems entropic; a tendency towards disorder in your otherwise almost calculated schedule.
He disappears in a flash, as he always does.
The trial is only moments away.
Classic Days || Soaring
When the Dusk and Dawn Dragons signaled that it had turned eleven in the morning, it was at that exact moment that life began to halt for everyone in the Astral Plane. Everyone, as they had every time before, became engulfed in the bright light that corresponded to their caretaker and were transported away to the same place that you always got taken to: the Plaza.
Investigation was finished, and you were directed by Akihiro and Catherine who were already there waiting for you, their backs turned to you and their hands gesturing you to follow them for what else was there to do? Run and punishment most likely awaited you, though that word-- punishment was an inevitability.
Blood was no sacred liquid here.
After a bit of hesitation on their part to get moving, their movements seeming a bit slower than when they first carried through these motions, you followed them into the darkness that laid in the inner workings of the coliseum, ever so aware of Sumiteru's presence that often cheered you good luck.
This time, however, he mouthed to you not a prayer of fortune but rather what seemed to be an apology. His expression faltered a bit, but in a blink of an eye he was gone, however you could note which direction he fled to this time: The Bottomless Canyon.
Nevertheless, despite that, you were on your own course and he was on his own, and it was here that your paths must split into two different routes.
Classic Days || Bleed It Out
Some time after the two draconic statues signaled that it was ten in the morning, your gut making you feel as if eleven o' clock soon would soon dawn upon you, you were alerted that your time for investigation was up, and you were all whisked away with the familiar bright light.
You followed Akihiro and Catherine to the trial room once more from the point of the Plaza, well aware of what laid ahead of you. There was no mystery as you descended into the darkness, able to see Sumiteru once again wish you luck in a blink of an eye before disappearing as if he were never there, but seeing it three times made it a certainty.
You must return, and you must live through it again.
