Reposting this one because it’s gonna be another miserably hot day. I drew this 3 years ago (almost) to the day. To anyone who binds, you are in my thoughts. It’s one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve done. It’s incredibly awful in the summer. Be safe. Stay hydrated. If it’s possible, try a sports bra or go without compressing your chest. Wear cotton and linen. Choose a mid-length binder over the full-length ones. Some suggest baby powder under the binder. For folks with friends who bind, invite them to your air conditioned houses/apartments. Maybe offer them rides in your air conditioned cars if they bike or take public transportation. I never wanted to go anywhere during the summer when I was binding because I knew the trek would be sweaty and awful.
yeast is fantastic in the kitchen, absolutely adore it, IN THE KITCHEN.
it is however, completely terrible and horrendous when it is living on my SKIN!
get off of there! you are not invited!
KT tape binded(bound?) all day today! This stuff is great and makes a big difference in my confidence through out the day. My skin is a bit red but its not bad for a first timer imo. Note to self and for anyone else tape binding use oil and a hot shower to help get this stuff off. P. S dont mind the weird faces im making idk how to take a good selfie
Tips on Binding in the Summer
1. LOTS OF WATER — trust it's super important to stay hydrated 2. DON'T SLEEP IN IT — I know in some situations it's hard, but please believe me that it'll help your breathing in the future. 3. DON'T WEAR IT TOO OFTEN — yes, a flat chest is the ideal situation, but the hotter it gets, the more constricting it gets. 4. NEVER BIND WITH A TENSOR — the job of a tensor is to increase tension, therefore if you use one on your chest it will put so much pressure on your ribs, back, lungs and chest that you will cause damage and risk severe chronic illnesses. Please don't risk your health this summer. Binding is a great option for those who wish to have a flatter chest, however, please keep in mind that it is dangerous at times to wear one. Save yourself from rib damage and chronic back pain if you can. BE SAFE ☀️💕 Love, Tyler
