Keith and Lance laying in front of a fan one sweltering summers day because it’s so hot they feel like they’re melting. Lance lets out a groan every time the fan turns away from him, but one of those times the fan catches the noise and does the funny noise distortion thing, so the next time the fan faces him he goes AaaAaAAAaahhHHh into it until it turns away and he lets out a little chuckle. He keeps doing this until Keith joins him and soon they’re talking in funny distorted voices and laughing so much they’ve almost forgotten that they’re melting from the heat. Almost.

Everything was hot— the July sun beating down on them, the metal of the boardwalk railing against Lance’s back, the breeze coming from inland, even the fabric of Keith’s black t-shirt in Lance’s hand as he pulled at the collar. But Lance didn’t mind as his lips met Keith’s, soft and sticky and tasting like cherry water ice. Keith’s hand snaked around Lance’s waist and he smiled against his boyfriend’s kiss, the only thing that could stop his complaining about the humid heat.
