     With a roll of his eyes, Nicodemus raised the folder higher above his head. There were advantages to having such a short spouse, and though he knew she could easily jump high enough with Imariel’s assistance to grab it, the gesture was meant more as an insult than anything.

     “And I only had to work, what, maybe thirty seconds to walk in here and take it from you?” He barely resisted the urge to smile. “I think I deserve to keep it as a reward for being so efficient.”

I… I’m afraid to answer this question. 

Cassius hisses when he talks, and he’s downright creepy. He’s old and not my type.

Nicodemus is a married man and the whole shadow thing he’s got with Anduriel is pretty spooky. Also old, also not my type. But at least he doesn’t hiss? 

Let’s go with Nicodemus.
