Showed this quote to my boyfriend today and he fucking loved it 😂 I honestly think it sums up my (and my family’s) attitude to life best! It would be so easy for me, for my loved ones, to focus on the darkness in life. It would be so easy to look at my future and see only the deterioration of my health, and death... to see an utter lack of light down a long, scary, very dark tunnel. And some days, I do, to be honest. But guess what? I ain’t focusing on that shit. I’m gonna take the advice of the badass Sarah Millican and march down that tunnel and turn that fucking light on myself. I have so many wonderful things, places, and people in my life, in my future, to be anything but utterly delighted to be alive, to be me. I have fought too long, too hard, and I have too much to continue fighting for, to ever give up. So no, I do not see a long dark tunnel... I see a light switch, one I’m gonna bloody well turn on... and if I can’t?
