Y’all remember How To Train Your Dragon, right?

well I remembered my original dragon species, the Sun Fury. Lol. The premise was basically they were another variant of the night Fury that were yellow/orange instead of black. I dunno what advantage I thought it’d have, but decided to readapt it with some logic added to the thought process. I imagine this species would live in desert areas with orange sand. From above, they’re meant to blend in with the sand below them. Their underbelly is intended to trick creatures below them into thinking there are just birds above (due to the dark splodges on a light base). The thingos (I dunno what they’re called) on the dragons head are used to sense changes in temperature, so they know to bury themselves in sand before it gets too cold. They only go out during the day, as their movement slows down a ridiculous amount when cold.

They get cold easier than other dragons because they are smaller and don’t have much insulating fat. They focus more on surprise attacks of their prey than large-scale roasting. They’re also significantly smaller than the Night Fury. They’re about a third of the size of a Night Fury/stand around 3 feet tall (shoulder height) and 9 feet long.
