The perfect ☀️SPF for ALL skin types!?: Nivea’s Sun Protect Super Water Gel SPF 50/PA+++ review
Hello guys and gals, here’s a quick review of Nivea’s Sun Protect Super Water Gel as promised. And if you’re wondering why I’m doing a sunscreen review when its nearly winter, it’s cause you should use SPF all year! If I’m being completely honest, I skip every now and again when its super cloudy or dark when I go out, but as a good habit you should try and wear some sort of sun protection every time you go out. Your skin will thank you in the long run. Okay, now for the review which I’m going to try and simplify (I know I can end up writing pretty long posts lol) by braking the review into sections.
But first, lets learn a few terms together (or skip this if you just want the review). So according to my good friend Google, SPF stands for “Sun Protection Factor” while PA stands for “Protection Grade of UVA”. Basically, SPF is going to protect your skin from UVB rays while PA is going to protect your skin from UVA rays - both are harmful UV rays that can damage skin. UVB rays are the ones that will give you that painful sunburn, while UVA rays harm you skin in the long run, like by causing premature aging. A bigger SPF value is going to give you a bit more protection than a lower one while the more +’s a PA has the more protection against UVA rays you’ll get. Now there’s this whole process you can take to calculate how long you’re skin will be protected from UV rays based on the SPF number and PA but lets keep this simple and just say that its very important to have both SPF and PA protection in your life. Now that we got that cleared up, onto the review!
Claims/product info: for face and body, SPF 50, PA+++, gel texture.
✔️Pros: no white case, lightweight and gel texture (it literally feels like nothing), pretty affordable for the amount you get
❌Cons: none really, some weren’t happy that it was PA+++ instead of PA++++ but as long as you’re not literally sitting in front of the sun for a long period of time I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine and you can always reapply if you’re out for a very long time. I don’t see a problem with this SPF and PA value and think this is great for everyday use.
❓Who I recommend this for: all skin types!
🛍️Where to get it: I got mine from amazon, but you can get also get it here and a bunch of other places. Unless you’re in Japan, I think you’ll have to resort to ordering this online.
Okay, hope this was helpful, don’t be afraid to ask if anything wasn’t clear or you want more info! Until next time, sundayskin xoxo
