Hi! I recently adopted a kitten who needs to have a leg amputated (forelimb). What, if any, challenges, does Yardstick face on the daily?
honestly, i think he creates more challenges for himself. today i watched as he tipped a laundry basket over onto himself and tried to swat at treats through the holes. the treats were easily accessible to him BEFORE he tipped the basket over. he just... does things sometimes.
Anyway, congrats on your new kitten! :D Cats missing a forelimb generally do better than cats missing a hindlimb. They can jump just as well as a typical cat, and run almost as well. The biggest things you’ll have to watch out for are overeating and overgrooming---- some cats react to stress by just... going hogwild over their food, or stress grooming themselves. If this happens, the best thing to do is provide distractions, like toys and company.
Boone has the loveliest jacket! Did you have it custom made for him, did you find it locally, or online? I'd love to find something so cozy for my lanky hairless boy!
I custom ordered it from Clothes Hound Apparel! You provide your dog’s measurements and your choice of fabrics and they will make it for you. I highly recommend; this will be the 4th winter with this coat and there’s not a single stitch out of place.
Knowing someone who used to be a big part of your life hates you is the worst feeling honestly and being to scared to talk to them about it bc you’re a totally different person now and they might not understand doesn’t help either

Customer: My son just stuck his fingers in the hamster cage and it /bit him/, how do you treat that? Me: *Inspects child’s finger, who is not bleeding, nor crying.* “There isn’t really anything to treat, the skin isn’t broken. This is why it’s important to ask before trying to touch an animal.” Customer: So you’re not going to give him an antiseptic? You know I could sue because he got bitten by one of your animals. You’re very rude and I would like to report you to your manager.
Hey man. Idk if you have your video set to only be available in the states, but it won't let me (a Canadian YouTube user) access the video. Says it isn't available! (This is for your recent keyblade video :( )
AHHHHH I’m sorry! But this is really good to know, I’ll look into it. And I’m going to upload it to my fb page too so I can link you to that tomorrow when it’s done uploadingBut that’s pretty sucky!
