he's seen ariel time and time again around the apartment complex, whether at the mail room or when they are in the basement tending to their laundry. acknowledging the other man's presence is one thing, asking him for a favor is another. their conversations thus far have been superficial, yet they have also been a highlight to eanna's day from time to time. greeting ariel while he is clad in his loungewear does not faze eanna, particularly since he was standing there looking like a wet dog. "hey," he echoes coolly, crooked smile easing onto his face. "so i have shit luck today, and can't seem to find my key, so i was hoping that you'd be generous enough to turn my fortune around and offer me refuge and respite?" he plays the situation off with charm, hyperbolically dramatic though his tone is light and easy. "was gonna see if i can get ahold of the landlord or if my streak of bad luck will continue."
( 💔 @sunbecms ) ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ yesterday his attendance to this party felt so much simpler. who cared if he and his exe were now going to this party separate --- they were adults, they should be more than capable of doing such and still be respectful. or at least, that's what vaughn thought when he was talking himself into coming... "i think, the parental rating of the party would go down if i left." he murmurs, lifting to place a hand on his friend's bicep as a notion that he was still there. a habit formed after being forgotten one too many times. "think you'll find a ride home from someone else?" (based; for m/nb)

"...are you aware you aren't wearing any clothing?"
Cont. from @sunbecms || Quinn and Elian (x)
The response drew a single eyebrow up in an amused expression, Quinn laughing slightly. "I may fit in everywhere I go, but that's because I was trained to from the age of seventeen." he replied, shaking his head slightly as he watched the other, clasping a hand firmly but gently on Elian's shoulder. "You'll be fine. You're safe with me and I'm making it my mission tonight to help you relax and think about anything except that asshole. It's his loss." Quinn meant it, finding anyone who dumped someone like Elian to be an idiot. Turning to the bar, he ordered two glasses of scotch for them, resting his elbow on the counter as he waited.

“my dreams?” mitzi splutters out in surprise, before a laugh bubbles up past her lips. it’s definitely not the kind of response that she was expecting but there is something rather smooth about it. almost painfully so. “no, i don’t quite think that’s it,” she insists softly after she recovers, gaze flickering over minjee’s face. “you’re sure we don’t know one another?”

it had been a few days since they’ve last seen each other. days where she spent lying on her bedroom floor with a never ending ache in the pit of her stomach. alcohol seemed to be the only thing that could supress it. until tonight. with vision impaired and fingers messily pressing on her phone’s screen, a slew of drunken messages were sent to the only person that mattered to her.

Closed starter for @sunbecms ft. Asher
"You know we can't keep doing this," Asher said, voice low but fraying at the edges. He wasn’t looking at them when he said it—his gaze fixed somewhere over their shoulder, like if he stared hard enough into the distance, he could outrun the truth. But his fingers were still curled around the edge of the kitchen counter, white-knuckled, like letting go of that meant letting go of them too. They had broken up. Officially. Clean break, mutual decision, all the right words said at the right time. And yet here they were again—same apartment, same late-night silence, same gravitational pull that neither of them seemed capable of resisting.
Asher ran a hand through his hair, pacing now, restless. "It’s not healthy. We both know that. We’re just… stuck in this loop. And I keep telling myself I’m done, but then you text me, or I hear that song you like, and suddenly I’m right back here." He stopped, finally meeting their eyes. There was something raw in his expression—frustration, longing, maybe even fear. "I don’t know how to want you less," he admitted, voice cracking just slightly. "But I also don’t know how to keep wanting you like this."
