Cut to Macaque holding Nüwa against his chest and covering her ears as we hear the death screams of the camel ridge trio.

Although it may not seem like it, Wukong is very protective of what is his.

He doesn't care if I take it by force, if he believes it is his it will always be so.

So, as Macaque is his husband and Nuwa his concubine, he will protect them.

You could say they have a supportive relationship, both spending most of the day together.

Sun Wukong is very busy with reigning with an iron fist but when he is idle and comes to see them, it only makes them feel uncomfortable and fearful.

Nuwa and Macaque enjoy each other's company very much..... Sometimes too much.

If it's just Jadepeach, then Macaque is the king's right hand and most loyal soldier.

If it is Shadowjadepeach, then Macaque is the empress, married to Wukong and confidant of Nuwa.
