Snow is melting, Diamond is waking up, and so am I.
Me (@not-your-fancy-butler) and Diamond at this summer’s Lake Arthur Regatta in august 2017. This was only my second time sailing her, the winds were very fickle and kept coming and going, being an inexperienced sailor I decided to sail dead downwind to the other side of the lake, when I was promptly becalmed, and after waiting for an hour or two and eating a very luxuriously paced lunch while waiting for the wind to return and attempting to tack with to no avail I had to give up, and luckily I brought a collapsible paddle and started rowing back until sailor’s camaraderie prevailed and a kind soul in a fishing catamaran towed me back to my marina. Not the most auspicious day of sailing but it was otherwise a beautiful day with lots of relatively common but still lovely boats.

Did you know the AYC posted some cool instructional vids? We have two on tacking and jybing. More to come!
