People become obsessed with you because you seem to be consistent and stuck in your ways. There’s an idea of being a “regular” or someone who is always around but not always obvious upon first look or first inspection. You could be someone who falls into the background or operates as a “background character” who’s trying to go unnoticed, but that actually causes people to give you attention instead of ignoring you. With the two reversal cards in the beginning, people’s obsession with you could be slow moving or “progressing”. At first, you may really go under people’s radar, but as they see and/or interact with you more day by day their interest in you creeps on them and “consumes” them in some way. Sixes in tarot usually represents balance and movement happening in some way, but with the reversals it’s the total opposite where you may actually unsettle people because of your stillness. Those horror movies where they’ll depict a ghostly woman or child with jet black hair just staring at the camera blank faced, and then they suddenly disappear comes to mind, so your presence could come off similarly to others. As a result, they end up obsessing over why and what made you that way.
On one hand, The Devil upright and Knight of Swords in reverse shows how incessant the feeling of obsession overtakes people when it comes to you and your presence. On another hand, the two cards show people become obsessed with you because of the quiet power you hold. The Devil is a Major Arcana, and Knight of Swords in reverse can depict a bully or someone who can tend to bulldoze over others because they feel their smarts and wit carry them far. You may come off this way to others, but The Empress softens the way this manifests. The trope of the quiet kid who keeps to themself yet is respected by everyone because of their ability to hold their own despite people trying to test them comes to mind. It could be a situation where you could be a more bossy, type A personality person if you wanted to be; you could rule over others or be a leader in some sense if you wanted to be also, but there’s a softness in your personality that doesn’t want to do that, and that intrigues people. People could become obsessed with you because they want to see both sides of you; they feel this more bossy, leader, and dominate personality exists, but they may feel as if they have to trip you up just to see it, and they become hyper focused on making what they perceive to be your mask slip.
Eventually, with The Empress leading into the final cards, people may reach their final stage of becoming obsessed with you once they actually interact with you. The word “becoming” was almost misspelled which gives pause to go back and focus on it; there’s a reminder of Michelle Obama’s book and documentary titled “Becoming”, so that could be important. The idea of taking care of others and “watching over one’s own” could be what ultimately causes people to become fully immersed in you and what you’re doing and how you’re doing it. Going back to the prior paragraph, people may expect to see a harsher version of you, but they’re only left to find underneath a silent exterior – you’re someone who’s trying to protect your own peace and those you consider your own; the mother cubs from the Lion King come to mind, so you could end up making people feel as if they’re apart of your pride, and as a result they become obsessed with you and “immersed in your world”. The type of obsession people have when it comes to you could lead to them wanting to merge and even be you. It’s like you leave them wanting to be in your skin.

People become obsessed with you because of how vulnerable you seem. You could be someone who is living in a sort of glass house where people feel like you tend to throw stones at others because of your own insecurities and doubt about yourself; Cher Lloyd’s “Love Me For Me” comes to mind. Another house example could be that of a celebrity’s or the golden house in the neighborhood – where on the outside everything is rosy and perfect, and you have a manicured lawn, the finances to live in an enviable home, and the life where anyone else would kill for or be happy about, but it’s obvious to others the pretty outside is a cover up for how run down and “dingy” everything is on the inside. The chatter that happens around celebrities where people obsess over how their lives are “never as they seem” comes to mind also. In short, people obsess over you because you’re in the public eye and materially you should be on top of the world, but to others they feel as if you have to be hiding some sort of insecurities or pettiness that truly exists in you like it seems to exist in those who obsess over you.
The Chariot and Knight of Cups shows people obsessing over how “good” and “wealthy” it must be to be you. The depictions of people who don’t have material wealth looking to their wealthy friends and joking about how they probably don’t understand what it’s like to not be privileged comes to mind. People become obsessed with you because it’s like your life is what they daydream of wanting and having one day, and they want to follow your every move to criticize how you live their dream life. There’s a reminder of how when celebrities do anything in their career there will always be a group of people who say, “I wouldn’t have done that if I were them; I would’ve done this instead”. People obsesses over you because you’re living both your and their dream life, and they fantasize bout this type of life so much that they also have a deep, intense need to fantasize about how you personally live. Those who chose this pile are represented by the Knight of Cups and Six of Cups – where you’re very artistic and idealistic; you could be known as the person who always happens to find a way to make things work out for you instead of wallowing in disaster, and this could cause people to obsess because they do the total opposite. “Maybe it’s Maybelline” comes to mind which just emphasize how much your ability to stay positive and focused on your own despite those who are jealous of you hyper focusing on and criticizing you just makes them more obsessed than they are initially.
Overall, people become obsessed with you because you mirror a part or an idea of themselves they’re yearning to exist. When people become obsessed with you it could feel like they’re in The River Styx, quicksand, or something of that nature that causes them to wallow in their spirits and become numb to their own selves. As people interact with you and/or look for ways to escape thinking about their everyday lives, they turn to you to fantasize about and criticize. King of Wands shows you as someone with big ideas that lead to you feeling fulfilled materially and emotionally, and people’s obsession with you is a classic case of eyes being green with envy because their lives are “polar opposites” in comparison to yours. King of Wands in the deck being used is represented by Cronus, so when people obsess over you they could feel destructive and want to bring you down “to ruins”, so you can experience what they feel in terms of the insecurities and jealousy. The obsession people have with you leaves them wanting you to wallow in misery with them.

People become obsessed with you because you always end up okay and/or “on the side with the greener/brighter grass” after you separate from them. Those who become obsessed with you could often be people who you once had some sort of bond or relationship with like a ex significant others and exfriends (possibly even former coworkers and classmates if you interacted with them often enough). Whenever relationships end (especially if it’s on a sour note) there’s a sort of grieving process of the connection and at some point in the process people tend to wonder how the other person is doing. “You ain’t really fuck with me then but how ‘bout now? Cause I’m up right now... And you stuck right now” comes to mind. People become obsessed with you because they expect you to be regretting the decision to depart from them; they want and expect you to be in as much pain as they are, but you seem to do “just fine” without them; Mary J. Blige’s “Just Fine” and Ariana Grande’s “better off” both come to mind also.
You’re depicted as The High Priestess and Death in this situation. The meme “she princess; he frog” seems to be important. The High Priestess shows you as someone that moves on gracefully once a relationship ends; this card is represented by the goddess Persephone who rules over Spring and vegetation alongside Demeter and also the Underworld alongside Hades. The dichotomy of Persephone seems to be key to the reading also as she’s able to survive and rule over areas of life where things are growing, springing forward, and blossoming, and areas of life where things are decaying and coming to an end. This could talk of how you’re someone who thrives regardless of your environment and regardless of who’s around you, and this causes people to obsess because they’re stuck trying to figure out how that’s possible. Funnily enough, Death in the deck is represented by Hades himself which strengthens the idea of you doing well in situations where other people would be struggling and stagnant; you could be the type of person who actually embraces and even seeks out change instead of settling for the same, boring routine of life.
Five of Coins into Three of Cups and Ten of Swords shows you could be the type of person who is never really alone, as in you could always call someone up to hang out or talk to if you truly needed it. Sometimes when relationships end, some people isolate themselves and find it hard to get back into the groove of connecting with others again, but you could be the type of person who finds friends easily or at the very least has no shortage of people who want to be friends with you (whether they approach you or not). As for the people who obsess over you, they could feel inhibited or set back when it comes to making connections afterwards because their connection to you might’ve been very “soul binding”. An idea is coming through where once people lose you it’s like their life goes into shambles, and they realize you’re really the person who brought all (“most”) of the good things in their life to them. In the remix of FNF by GloRilla (feat. JT and Latto), Latto raps, “they ain’t shit without me; all my exes like Safaree,” so when people fall out with you similar tings could happen to people, and it makes them obsess because they’re stuck reminiscing over how things used to be.

People could obsess over you because of who you’re connected to. You may come off as someone who has a strong group of friends and/or people to rely on, and people may hyper focus on you because they’re comparing themselves to you. Those who obsess over you are represented by the Four of Cups in reverse; they could feel unhappy with where they are in life, and they could be very isolated, but they look to you because you’re the Page of Wands: someone who seems to be fearless, energetic, and “extroverted” comes to mind (actually, “outroverted”, which seems to be a term for people who seemingly can find and get along with a group, but internally feel separated or like a “black sheep”). The movies “Jennifer’s Body” and “Carrie” come to mind, so the themes revolving around those movies (or more so, the way those movies are synopsized for society) could be important in understanding why and how people obsess over you.
Those who obsess over you may not necessarily do so with bad intentions; Five of Swords into Strength shows they could actually do so with the intention of “trying to motivate themselves”. They could being obsessing over you as a result of how they feel about themselves; they look to you because they may feel you mirror them in some way, and it’s like they want to unlock their own potential by “looking to you”. Going back to the term outroverted, although you seem to be connected to many people physically (like people always see you around with certain people, or whenever you’re in a public space you always seem to find someone/multiple people you know) it may be obvious to the people who obsess over you that you weren’t always that way? Or they may feel as if it seems you have these connections, but you’re not totally comfortable in them. Artists like Beyoncé and Summer Walker come to mind because they’re these well known artists who are in a world of connections, but at the end of the day people still feel like they’re awkward with people sometimes, or they rarely want to pop out in public because they much rather prefer more intimate moments with their close, loved ones.
Strength into King of Coins shows those who obsess over you see you as a high figure who is well established “everywhere. within your [their] own right”, and even though they can tell you may feel uncomfortable with it they still feel as if you “carry it [attention, conversating with large friend groups] well”. Three of Swords in reverse gives the feeling those who obsess over you really want to feel accepted by you; they want to be part of your inner circle, and they want to get close to find out how you’re able to “be who you are and do what you do”. Miley Cyrus’s “Fly on the Wall” comes to mind, so those who obsess over you could act similarly to the paparazzi or Miley’s significant other in the music video. The Swords reducing at the end of the reading could be a little concerning as one hand they could indicate people obsessing over you to better themselves and eventually doing so, but on the other hand it could also show people obsessing over you and deciding they want to become you – not just take inspiration from in order to better themselves; the way people view the relationship between GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion now comes to mind. Those who obsess over you want your approval and company for sure, but there’s a possibilty their admiration could turn to jealousy if they’re “uncentered with themselves”.
