Foundation "Skin in the Game"
this chucklefuck. at first i was confused about this casting because there was such a dramatic lead up to his face reveal, just to show Some Guy with a weird goatee and deep voice. i was disappointed that he was male and white and acted like a typical emperor dude, but after the eighth episode, i see that this casting is actually perfect.
he really is just some white dude with a god complex who is only interested in power and control. he may have a robot skull, but he’s the true brazen head that decides whatever he wants the skull to say, he even denies the skull after being activated by brother day’s whispering. they claim to worship robots, yet he is dictating the only what this supposed robot god says. he has abject proof that a robot exists, yet he elects to keep it a secret so he can continue to harness control over his people.
what’s especially fascinating is his hypocrisy. his entire religion is founded because the cleonic dynasty wiped out robots. now, one of the biggest things to ever happen to his religion — proof that their supposed savior does exist — but that would mean that he would lose power. these people would have someone to love and worship more than him.
at the end of the day (and of the galaxy), he is just another tyrant… only his weapon is faith instead of resources and clones. i would really like to know how he came to be in charge.

god i'm obsessed with this melodramatic little shithead tyrant.
also I'm stealing "now the devil has returned to face judgement for his peccancy" for whenever my shitty coworker comes back after pushing bad code and then immediately leaving for lunch
corporate needs you to find the difference between these pictures
How often do your Gilded Age favorites pop up in your favorite sci fi as evil robot mushroom priest?
You have to serve a lot of cunt to be the cult leader of the robot-worshiping psilocybin planet.
Just another rank ingredient in my heretic soup.
