“Hey Nat this is a cool birthday party!” Hannah smiled.
“Thanks it’s lame but I only wanted to invite my best friends anyways. Turning thirteen isn’t such a big deal anyways,” Natalie declared.
“Nat, turning thirteen is important! You’re going to be a teenager!” Sunni exclaimed.
“You’re right about the teenager part, Sunni. I just think making a big deal out of it is kind of useless. Besides, I’m the shitty middle kid. I’m not special,” Natalie frowned.
Sunni stared at her with a frown tugging the corners of her mouth downward.
