An 8x2x2 with lots of exploring opportunities is so doable 😃 my blood python is in a 2x1x7 with a big water dish and two hides hes just starting to outgrow. Hes only about 5.5 feet still so he has plenty of room. If i can manage that I bet one day I can give a burm all the love it deserves

Sunny is about 3.5-4 years old (my best estimate) and male, so he’s not likely to put on much more length at this point. So for him, the 8-footer is going to be okay-ish for the lifetime. Especially with the regular outings to stretch his... err... ribs?

If you get a burm lady, she can easily grow longer than 13ft, maybe even 15 or longer. For such a snake, the 8-footer cage wouldn’t be sufficient. Snakes that size will always require custom enclosures, as I haven’t seen (m)any offerings beyond 8ft.

So be very very sure of the sex of the snake you’ll be acquiring -- have a qualified veterinarian properly sex the animal. Yes you’ll be out of some amount of currency, but compared to the prospect of ending up with a snake that’s 4x the weight of what you were planning for, it’s money well spent.

Another way to be sure of the size of the animal is to adopt an adult. Again, being very sure of the animal’s actual age is important.

I see you're on a Marinette&Felix kick, so I present you with this: Marinette and Amelie becoming besties somehow. Amelie tells Marinette all the embarrassing stories about Felix and shows him the photo family albums, Marinette gives insight to his social and romantic life. Amelie always asks Felix why he doesn't have more friends like Marinette and tries to set them up (platonically ofc) but it just doesn't work. Felix constantly comes home to find Marinette and his mother chillin together and he hates it so so so much

I think we all have a friend, if we are not it ourselves, that LOVES parents? like, before you know it, at a party YOU are throwing, they’re sitting at the table with your parents having coffee at midnight and laughing over stories you don’t think you’ve actually heard?

I can totally see Marinette being that friend!! it’s just a shame that the only parents she can interact with really is Gabriel dhdjskf (but I can see her doing this with Alya’s mom too!!)

Also I am always wondering what the fuck Felix does at home all day, so this actually gets him OUT of the house because he can’t stand that Marinette doesn’t even call to ask — actually, she’ll call to declare she’s coming over to speak with Amelie. And while he’s out of the house he can spend time with Kagami!!! it’s a win/win!!!
