for something about the rpc everyone seems polarised about but i have no strong feelings for one way or the other.
I realy don’t like answering questions with “I don’t know”, but I really don’t know. Most of the time I take some sides.
for something about the rpc that saddens me.
How everything is about face claims. You can write like a god, but it never will be good enough, because you don’t have a face claim or it’s some unpopular dude (or popular only in a certain part of the world), or you don’t draw. I don’t like how the face claim shows some kind of social status. It highly depends on how many followers you will get, how many asks you will get, how many threads you will have, what the chances are of being unfollowed, what the chances that a person will be interested in the threads - everything. And it’s all so sad. A face claim should be a reference, not the main thing in the roleplaying. If you are a roleplayer, you should rely on your writing.
for something about the rpc that makes me furious.
I don’t like that your character must be somehow… polarized, that is, they have to stand with both feet on the good side, or on the bad side. And nothing in between. At the same time, people choose rather strange criteria for determining whether a character is good or not. For example, if you character doesn’t like (as I said recently, hating something and not liking something are two different things) children, then this immediately makes them bad. Or if your character loves themselves, then this also makes them bad. But if your character kills ordinary people, but loves children and kittens, then this makes them good. Very strange criteria. But it’s all based on what I’ve seen and keep seeing. It all looks very childish.

It was a momentary lapse, anger and regret rising up to a point he yelled. No words just loud screaming, thought he was alone. In an ally way on his own, didn't think anyone would hear and if they did no one really cared enough to check on a person screaming anyway.
Facing the person who noticed with a glare. Snarling, quick in response.
"None of your fucking business that's what!"
Irrational and knew it. Waiting a moment, the glare still on his face before speaking again.

random headcanons
Both of Hana's parents were pretty strict when it came to table manners, particularly at dinner time, so she has retained that. For all the things she's not fond of her parents for, she's actually kind of glad they brought her up in this way because now she knows how to act if she has dinner with someone important (or if she's trying to look good for a date).
How she feels about bad table manners depends on how bad they are. Really, she doesn't care if they're not as strict as her (and honestly, she'll drop some of the usual manners if she's, say, just with friends) but if they're horrendous, she might have to excuse herself.

General Thoughts
Platonic
Somewhat my default, or at least by far and away what I have the most experience with. Too broad to really have much useful to say here. :’D
Though I do feel it’s worth calling out: Diamond is all for queerplatonic relationships, platonic life partnerships, etc.
Even short of those dynamics, his friendships tend to be queer in undefined ways! He just. Has very little truck with relationship norms in general sldkfhsdg.

Familial
ALRIGHT SO. Diamond will unofficially adopt people left and right, whether it’s a good idea or not. Send him someone under 30 who could use his support and we’re in business sdlfdshgdkf.
He is also an Actual Foster Parent or adoptive parent semi-regularly, so if you have a muse in the system where you want to go that route, that’s entirely plausible! Or like, AUs where it might happen for political or magic reasons, that could potentially be interesting.
On the other end of things, I have also definitely been interested in trying more threads with Diamond as a child of late. Just… massive potential for several different strange dynamics that I think could be v. fun! (Maybe he’s the one getting adopted?)
ALSO. Definitely open for potentially plotting blood relations as well? Like, either inserting one of his incarnations somewhere in any of your muses’ family trees — uncle? cousin? nephew? — or some kind of stronger AU. (I have not fleshed out his Martian family at all. So. First life is a possibility! Or full AUs where Diamond is more mundane and not immortal, hah.)
(I also think he’d be simultaneously a Pain In The Ass while also v. supportive in sibling dynamics…)

Romantic and/or Sexual
Diamond will have casual flings with physical age peers! But for actual more deeply involved partnerships, he definitely tends to gravitate to older folk. (Whether that’s just normal meaning of older, or fellow immortals.)
Which isn’t to say that he never gets more involved with young adults; if he were going to be too paranoid about shit he’d almost never date at all, and he figures that at some point he just has to trust his own intentions & the other person’s judgement. (Or remove himself from the situation when he doesn’t.)
But it is definitely less likely. You kind of have to manage to dodge the caretaking impulses first for it to even come up, hah.
Threads in his first life and AUs without the whole reincarnation thing are also definitely a possibility. 👀

Antagonistic
In theory I am interested. In practice this does not come naturally to me and I suspect I’d need to follow your lead to get very far. 😂
Diamond can be snippy, bossy, arrogant, and even a bit petty at times, so there is fodder! Off the top of my head I feel like Professional Rivalry or Practical Conflict might be most promising? Some practical reason for our muses to be at odds.

Sofi: Seriously based on the bingo card you sent I do think they could have such fun interactions. :D Good potential queerplatonic vibes I think? (…assuming they managed to dodge Diamond irretrievably pissing Sofi off via his ingrained Authority Figure vibes, or Diamond giving up on Sofi in exasperation. 😂 Though honestly those routes could be interesting too…)
Amanita: Strikes me as potentially viable for either non-platonic shipping or antagonism depending on circumstances sdlfkdshg. (Or. Both at the same time?? Both is good. Again, depending on circumstances. xD)
Xander: So. Diamond likes rock music. 👀 And while he kind of hates the hustle of the life of being a professional musician (outside of occasionally going into music teaching), he absolutely likes to support them when he can…
Cyrus: My brain says supportive queer disabled mentor has potential? I feel like Cyrus could use someone in his life who thoroughly understands the Shittiness of Circumstances while also being able to say with full confidence and personal experience that it can get better. <3

The Mentor
Surprising absolutely no one, Diamond’s core original inspiration was some weird conglomeration of the "kind/wise old mentor" and the "cranky cynical mentor" sub-tropes, hah. Plus a bit of whatever you'd call Giles, idk. My parents let me watch earlier seasons of BtVS when I was 3 and I think it had an impact. xD

Blind Seer
Spire incarnation, of course, and hopefully subverted!
I imagine something of this trope (played straight) might have been behind the original conception of his telepathy? I genuinely don’t remember. Diamond’s been both blind and telepathic in the context of the Spire since I was ~6. 😂 (And it's... equally or even slightly more likely that the thought process went, "Hm. This is a snake. Snakes don't have voices. How can I have him talk...?")
But one way or another, by the time I’d started researching much of anything I knew that it was a trope that his concept would call to people's minds and that I wanted to tread carefully around.
Diamond’s magic gives him more adaptive options; of course it does. But it doesn’t exist because of his blindness and it doesn’t erase the impact of his blindness.

Tragic Hero
MAYBE. Sort of. Gotta research more, and read more. I do not have a background in literature or classics. :'D
But from what little I do currently know, I think this archetype probably COULD provide a bit of inspiration for writing Diamond’s first life as I flesh that out. I don't think he fills the traditional classical notion of "hero", but... idk, some of the rest of it feels promising as inspo. (Reading recommendations on this front are welcome!)

Kai's bag- small and meager- hits the floor with a thud that echoes throughout the house. Really? This is all his? "Iro," he breathes. "It's so--" He laughs. The edges are tinted in disbelief because it's huge, it's massive, it's bigger than anything he's ever had- ever owned.
Just the livingroom is the size of his old room, carefully decorated in warm golds and browns, lined in dark mahogany. He almost feels out-of-place, like he's going to cause rot to crawl through the plaster and the leather just by existing.
He dances across the floor, soot-stained hands catching on every bead, every brick, eyes glittering as he walks on the delicate floors. "I-- you didn't have to do this," Kai says, a little grin on his face. "Really you didn-"
And then he turns the corner and a shocked swear spills out of his mouth. "You didn't!" He laughs, bright and delighted and genuine. "You got everything?? Iro- oh my god-!" The laughter fades in the air- vanishing into the soft pads that line the studio wall.
There's everything- his- they're actually his!- instruments connect to a chunky monitor- a microphone hangs from the ceiling, a few wires snaking to a computer- a soundboard and mixer sit next to it, gleaming and clean.
"Holy shit, I can't believe-" Kai says. He scoops them up in a hug, tight and warm, squeezing like he's never going to let go. "Thank you so much. You didn't- you didn't have to do this. I owe you one."
