Thank you for your patience, everyone who isn’t an angst/whump fan and has been following me while I focus on Timeloop fic. That fic is very close to finished (final chapter is written! Intermediate chapters are almost done!) and as it wraps up next week I’m starting a new romcom long fic. Here’s a preview!

My partner has been playing the new Tomodachi game and she made an island entirely of lesbians so she can thrive on the drama. So far the flannel-dressed butches have self segregated into a gossip group, four Miis instantly fell in love with the trashy emo dyke who she based on pitfighter Vi, two of the couples are ‘wanting to marry’ + ‘indifferent’ and everyone’s favourite topic of conversation is ‘crashing out’. It’s like our own tiny L word.
I definitely underestimated how tricky it is to develop the relationship from Vi’s perspective as well as move the plot along with her needing to be updated every time in a way that paces well, but it’s proving a really fun challenge.
I’ve seen some others post their WIP lists and thought it would be fun to share everything I’m working on right now:
Top three in bold are my published WIPs, so highest priority for my attention. Some of these are final titles and some are just working drafts of inspo source so I know what the work is at a glance.
In true ADHD fashion I bounce around between ideas constantly, so many of these are anywhere from 10% to 80% done. I also try to let my drafts sit for a bit, and then go back to them at least a day later to see how it still reads.
I’m heading off for a hopefully very relaxing beach weekend where I should be able to get a bunch of writing done to get some more chapters up this week. My beta is an irl friend who’s beaching with me so hopefully we’ll hammer some stuff out and not just “exactlyyyyyy” more brainstorms to add to the pile 😂

It’s a mixture of ‘seen/read enough to pick out story beats’ and the fact I ‘what-the-hell-sure’ and ‘yes-and’d my way through my twenties and early thirties, which has graced me with many experiences to pull from lmao. I also have a large family, equally stupid adventurous friends who share their stories with me, and I’m an extrovert who chats people up everywhere, which leads to a lot of happenstance.
One of the funniest first meeting prompts that I’ve personally experienced was a couple of years ago an artist friend who likes to drag me to events dragged me to a Dyke Life-drawing night for company and the hot, tattooed butch model got up, made direct eye contact, flexed and winked at me.
