how i feel about this character
I've always really liked siskinclaw!! I'm really for boy characters who are kind and sweet, they're one of my favorite character types. And we don't often see ben roleplaying a character who isn't Rude (shoutout to ben i love ben) so he's a really nice treat!! He's a really good foil to some other more negative characters, especially in a clan like Fogclan, which is just. Rife with struggle and angst. Though that doesn't mean he doesn't have his own share of depth and hardship!! I've enjoyed watching him change from such a happy go lucky and carefree character to such a more gloomy one... though maybe enjoyed is a bad word for it bc watching it has made me sad. please let my boy be happy again

hmm... i'm not sure right now!!
Risingdawn comes to mind, but similarly to Pumpkinpelt and Duskfang, The Leechclaw Situation has created this huge chasm between them that i'm not sure can be bridged just yet. I do hope that it can be though, bc i liked seeing them be friends and i think that siskin is empathetic enough to come around and see things from rising's point of view.

I really like his friendship between him and Pebblefrost!! If you couldn't tell already, i'm a huge sucker for opposites attract pairings. Its really cute to see them talking and interacting together, with how grumpy and frowny pebblefrost and how purely :D siskinclaw is. i also think its funny that pebblefrost is like twice his age bc it makes me think of like, a mature business woman whos like forty and already going grey somehow becoming good friends with a blonde peppy college kid. she gives him good advice and he gives her kind n youthful company
one thing i wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon
hmm something i wish would happen in canon with him... well, first of all i want him to OPEN UP to someone about his emotions!! I think he's the kind of guy who's used to being a crutch for other people while not being sure how to accept help for himself, which makes me sad...
I'd also like to see him play a more active role in fogclan!! I want him to get the chance to focus on how he's feeling and what he thinks-- not just about The Leechclaw Situation, but abt all of the garbage going on!! give him a soapbox let him shine give him more oppurtunities thank u
WAIT also i want to see him get into a fight i love when friendly smiley characters are secretly REALLY good at destroying people. please show off your -claw suffix and beat an ass
my otp/a headcanon
dustfoot is kind of lazy abt grooming, so siskinpaw used to copy him and would look a lot more scruffy and messy than he does now. meadowfrost put her paw down hard getting him to actually take care of his pelt, so he looks a lot neater in comparison to his older brother, who is A Mess. Only one son who looks like a ruffian allowed!!
