I would say probably Ireland! I've always wanted to go there hehe, I'm not a big traveller though so I don't know if I ever will

002 Siskinclaw?

002 | give me a character and i will tell you...

how i feel about this character: okay. so. usually i don’t gravitate toward softer, cheery characters in general, and i wouldn’t say siskinclaw’s really my immediate type as a result, but i’ve been really interested by him lately because of how he’s sort of breaking free of the standard of just being so bright and cheery. he could easily fall into seeming like a bit oblivious if he were just completely unaware of all of the turmoil of fogclan, but the fact that he knows about it but is purposefully choosing to ignore and subdue it makes him really unique to me. he’s intentionally making himself into a positive cat, no matter the cost to his own emotional well being...siskinclaw feels like the type to believe he owes something to the clan and to all those around him. everyone else is so downtrodden, and he knows he’s capable of being that ray of sunshine, so...why not force down all his own complex feelings in order to try to bring about a bit of light? he’s really fallen into the stepford smiler trope, and his motivation for doing so makes it all the more intriguing and also just makes him sympathetic as a character...so while i’m not the type to usually attach myself to more soft, sweet characters, i think siskinclaw has something really unique about him that has me eyeing him and just waiting to see what will happen...and when it’ll all fall apart, of course. he can’t keep smiling forever!

all the characters i ship romantically with them: theoretically siskinclaw and privetcloud, though more in a world where they’re able to be semi open with each other. right now they’re both managing to function as supports for one another, but without any real sort of communication, they can’t go anywhere more than just being shoulders to lean on. i do think they’d be good for each other with more time and personal development, but right now, they certainly have a loooot of things to work on.

my non-romantic OTP for this character: siskinclaw and meadowfrost, because man, there’s nothing like parent + child conflict to spice up an already traumatic existence! really though, i think siskinclaw’s relationship with meadowfrost is special because of how fundamentally different they are. it’s not exactly a positive dynamic, but it sure is interesting to watch them both begin to unravel together.

my unpopular opinion about this character: i wish we either had more of a chance to see why he’s a -claw cat or wish he had a suffix more akin to -cloud or -heart...but perhaps that is the traditional namer in me. he might just be siskinclaw because it sounds neat.

one thing i wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: i want to see him grow away from his avoidance of...well. everything troublesome. his own emotions, the conflict in the clan...one day he’ll be forced to step up, and seeing him be thrust into a position where he has no choice would be neat...maybe he has to face the music in order to really help the clan. maybe he can’t move forward until he admits what he’s feeling, what he’s worried about. i’m sure it’ll all come inevitably when the bottling up results in a burst, and i’m excited to see how he’ll handle being faced with all that he turns away from.

my cross-clan ship: siskinclaw / cedarflame was the first to come to mind...cedarflame could give him a few nice stress free days away from the mess that is fogclan.

a headcanon: he always gets asked about his name at gatherings. he’s grown used to it, having seen a lot of his clanmates get similar questions from non-fogclan cats, but he thinks it’s funny just how baffled the other warriors get by a unique prefix such as siskin-.
