Okay, I need all the behind the scenes videos about Tom Payne (and other cast members) interacting with the bird who plays Sunshine. Like NOW! 😇🐦
I haven't seen any Malcolm's with Sunshine on his head and I think that's a crime
These are chicks, but I want to see Sunshine with this!!! 😊😍😆💜💜💜
Sunshine appreciation post ˗ ˏ ˋ ♡ ˎˊ ˗
I just realized that Malcolm having Sunshine is a metaphor for him being trapped in his own trauma/Martin’s control.
Through out the series we always see Sunshine in their cage while we also always see Malcolm caught up in stuck in his trauma.
The one time we see Sunshine out of their cage is also the one on camera moment that we see Malcolm acknowledge the situation causing him to be trapped in his trauma and accepts it.
Also the camera pans to Sunshine in their cage when Malcolm and Eve are doing things;), which is showing that even though he’s happy in that moment, his trauma is still lurking. We see that a few moments later with the hallucination of the girl in the box.
Also on the Prodigal Son Instagram, there are only three pictures with Sunshine in them and all of them have something in the caption about being caged or trapped.
“The truth will set you free.” Seeing the truth of the situation instead of what your mind has made it out to be can help you accept and be “freed” from the trauma.
“Those who are caged in come out to seek revenge” When suffering with trauma, that person may want to enact revenge on the person/people who caused it
“Cages lock you in, but what are they keeping out?” When you’re stuck in your own mind and trauma, you may be keeping yourself locked away from meeting new people, making friends and more.
There are probably even more examples but those are what I could think of right now.
