I’ve been drawing friends of mine (Scott, @sunshineduk, & @loch-mint respectively) as Pokemon trainers, each with their favorite or most fitting Pokemon.
Goodness gracious, the ampersand-slash distinction of friendship-vs-romance predates Homestuck by a fair bit. It dates back to Star Trek TOS fandom (specifically Kirk/Spock), and is in fact where the term "slashfic" originates from. Fun fandom history fact of the day!
For some reason, maybe because of how ffnet did tags when I was a wee fandomling, I never saw the ampersand usage until I hit AO3. Basically I was aware of slash (or /) denoting romance, but I wasn’t aware of & denoting friendship. I didn’t realize the distinction was that old! That’s awesome!
(I love fandom history :3 )
I'm so fucking happy about that trashcan. Fuck that awful thing. Dear gods.
RIGHT? It’s gone now. Kicked to the curb. We have a shiny pedal-operated trashcan that STAYS CLOSED now.
I'm a beautiful antique thank you very much
i was trying to think of something snarky to say but u right
fun fact abt The Story of Tonight: decades later, Lafayette went on to join the revolutionaries in France. he was known for visiting the famous barricades and inspiring the freedom fighters there with, yes, tales from the American Revolution. so if The Story of Tonight makes you think about the Barricade Boys from Les Mis... well, you're not the only one.
well NOW it doesthanks books
Dai Stiho, asshole~
Mage: The Ascension Campaign I am participating in:
Set in Las Vegas
Area 51, a plot point. Possibly several plot points.
Snake handling cult locks me in a trailer. Climb out the trailer window, see cabal member to be for the first time. They have a lot of knives. Climb back in window.
Avatar takes me rock climbing!
Getting excited about weird fish.
Did you know tumbleweeds can be radioactive and you shouldn’t pick them up?
NPC dies to a basketball that lets you fly.
Annotating bathroom graffiti to satisfy a 2pt flaw.
EVIL PINK DOG COLLAR WITH RHINESTONES
Electromagnetism, my old enemy… we meet again.
New level of magic? First thing I do is show non-knives!cabal member the giant bugs bunny ears on their spirit form. (Yes, I was looking forward to this from day one of the campaign.)
Storyteller manages to have wind spirits speak in rhyme without prep. VERY IMPRESSED.
The vans are developing a rivalry.
Teleporting pawn shop.
I have a half an experience point and I am never letting it go.
Why didn’t anyone tell me I could use people as a focus? I could have done so much magic by dragging knives!cabal member to a party he didn’t like!
Vampires that explode.
Powerful shaman enters the storyline. Locks herself in my storage closet for two days.
I need to figure out what the character is wearing for Halloween before next game someone help
