I gave in and listened to Hamilton, because why not. :)) I've listened to it twice, so far, and I was wondering what is Wait for It referring to?

Burr is referring to how he doesn’t ever like to show what position he takes politically or socially and instead waits to see how others act. He observes others then decides how to proceed in order to play things exactly right so he can have the advantage. The song is talking about how that has worked for him so far and he’s going to keep doing that. It also talks about how Hamilton never waits for it and just puts himself out there without thinking about how vulnerable that makes him, but that is because he has nothing to lose, while Burr has a legacy to protect and can’t afford to be reckless. He likes to play things close to his chest. :)

‘We should do facetime or something tonight,’ says Jensen, out of the blue, on one of the breaks where they just sit in the car instead of going into the catering tent. They’re not hungry anyway - Jared brought Caramilk bars today because he’s just discovered them (’you’ve lived in Canada ten years and haven’t had a Caramilk bar?’ the girl at the gas station had said, after she’d asked for a picture), and they’ve been eating them off and on all day.

‘Facetime?’ says Jared, voice lilting up. ‘With - huh? With Jaybird?’

‘No!’ says Jensen, still a little Dean-gruff. ‘With, y’know. The fans. Facebook.’

‘You can’t Facetime Facebook,’ says Jared, and laughs at the not-really-a-joke. ‘Facetime Facebook. Facebook Facetime.’

‘OK, OK,’ Jensen grumbles, ‘whatever you kids call it. Talk to the fans.’

Jared thinks for about half a second.

‘Fuck yeah,’ he agrees. ‘We can do it after and it’ll be live so we can, um, we can take questions, and - ok but this means you gotta ease up on the booze, old man.’

‘Shut your face,’ says Jensen, agreeably. There’s comfortable silence for a couple of minutes. Jared scrolls through the newest pics of Shep destroying Tom’s Lego creations.

‘You want pizza?’ he says, after a minute. ‘There’s a new place just over from my apartment. They have that pesto stuff you like.’

‘Nah, come to my place,’ says Jensen, ‘I gotta bottle of that scotch we tried in LA, remember?’

‘Ooooh.’ Jared remembers. ‘If I come over - OK - but we can’t drink the whole bottle, man, we can’t. Remember what happened last time.’

Jensen just casts a long, affectionate glance sidelong at him and grins into his collar.

‘Don’t you worry, my boy,’ he says. ‘I’ve had my annual tie-round-the-head. We’re good.’
