THE HUNTER INTIMIDATED HIM, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Two days into their expedition and that opinion hadn't changed. The winds had brought with it a haze that swept over the sands of the plains in Fallow, thick as fog. With the air dry and scratchy at his throat, he'd reached for his water canteen dozens of times or so while studying the pictures of a guidebook Alma had handed over to him.
He shifts when he hears footsteps in the sand, the cadence of the Hunter's heavy shoes making him wince inwardly. Nata would not shut the book in his hand, but he does turn slightly, and wrap his free arm over his knees, involuntarily creating a closed-off look.
Yet his silvery gaze couldn't hold off for long, and eventually it wandered up to the Hunter's, where brief eye contact was made. Nata shied away immediately.
@sunshowxr liked for the hunter!
