pt 2 of the sparkeater au

after sunstorm breaks containment, there's a period of time where he only has foggy recollections of his former life. he crawls through the mantinence tunnels and ventilation shafts of the nemesis, feeding off any lone vehicons he finds in his path. and with shockwave... incapacitated. the whole ship thinks its a mindless experiment on the loose.

at least. until sunstorm runs into a face he actually remembers. somewhere along the line, his spark managed to cling onto the identity of the one mech on the ship who hasn't caused him unimaginable harm. and spares him.

knockout is left with a fragment of volatile information, and a crawling sense of dread.

Is your sparkeater Starscream/Sunstorm Starscream color? Or does he have some fun yellow accents going on with hints if blue from eating sparks?

oh my god! thank you for asking this! I cannot believe none of the depictions of sunny so far have been colored!

here you go! yes they have a LOT of gold and orange in their pallette, but no blue, since they where made with that horrible mix of synth-en and dark energon that knockout uses on breakdown in Thirst, so instead they have that sickly purple/pink glow.

ok so I maybe got carried away and designed an entire tfp version of sunstorm.... guess i'm dual wielding au's again!

I like to think they where one of shockwaves secret pet projects, and starscream had absolutely no idea he was cloned- much to his horror when sunstorm breaks out of the lab and terrorizes the nemesis during his escape.

the autobots think starscream changed his paint and went rouge again, until wheeljack jokingly takes a shot at him after spotting him on recon, and unlike starscream (who has years of combat training) sunny just, tanks the hit and goes down.

wheeljack goes after him since.. something isn't right about the situation. and is horrified to learn that he shot a non-combatant down. especially considering he's pretty mangled from the crash, and seemingly having some kind of.. temperature regulation crisis?

he winds up having to call ratchet.

so.. one of my mutuals (@dorianglowstick ) has an au with a techno-organic jetstorm. and I was feeling inspired by it. then my friend tuna made the mistake of letting me watch Alien again (9000th rewatch lol). and I ended up with yet another au.

here's a techno-organic/sparkeater sunstorm. basically a revision of my tfp sunstorm au.

something along the lines of, Starscream dies early into season three of tfp, and with his weird penchant for having an immortal spark in most continuities, winds up effectively possessing one of shockwaves half-finished predacon experiments.

its one of the weaker ones, and in its incomplete state wouldn't have survived long. but suddenly, to shockwaves optic anyway, it seems to be unkillable. so he takes the opportunity to experiment with mixing Predacon cna, organic dna, and uses nuclear fission as a catalyst.

needless to say, sunstorm comes out.. a little wrong.

the sheer number of vehicons vanishing from the barracks is.. concerning to say the least.
