☄️ Finn stared defiantly up at the man-shaped monster who approached him, sword already clutched in hand and prepared for the worst. His eyes met the other’s and also burned, though with a much different fire; the scorching and ironically warm blue of blindingly sunny skies. To say there was no fear in the hero’s eyes would be a lie, but the fear was caged behind a barrier of sheer fortitude, and held no power over him.
The horrible air about the other was an unfortunately familiar presence for Finn. It rang similar to that of the Lich, or GOLB, beings of unimaginable power which craved death and destruction. They were connected to Finn in that they were opposites to the one he was connected to - two sides of the same coin of the multiverse - and so this man must be his opposite as well. He was different from the Vampire King that Finn had encountered years earlier, from his own world. While that version had no doubt been powerful and terrifying, there was something much darker within this one.
"Well, you tell me. Do I have a reason to be ‘rid’ of you? Are you really as cruel and evil and messed up as all the rumors say? Or are you gonna prove me wrong?” 🦋
