Villeggia's/Supano's Steakhouse- A Quick Glance of Baltimore's Oldest Restaurants/Pubs
Villeggia's Italian Seafood has been a staple in Baltimore since 1937. The Villeggia Family owned and operated the restaurant for over 72 years until they finally changed ownership in 2009. The family still owns another Baltimore staple "Casa di Pasta" which has been around for over 40 years and is more of an Italian Grocery store, but serves delicious ready-to-eat authentic Italian dishes. In Villeggia's place now stands Supano's Steakhouse. Located at the corner of Light and Lombard, sits Supano's at 110 Water Street. Supano's has an old school Italian menu and has even kept on some of Villeggia's kitchen staff to preserve the flavors. Menu items include: "Supano's Bruschetta, Lasagna with Meat, Chicken Rolatini, and Sinatra's Signature 20oz NY Strip." Supano's also shares the same flavors of Villeggia's unique jazz and lounge style setup. Supano's has regular in-house jazz, blues and even a Rat-Pack tribute band. Perfect for a casual night out, Supano's delivers charm, authentic Italian fare and a very well priced menu.
