Does Clone 18 have sentience?
In a nutshell, she does. Bulma made her from scratch using Gero's old schematics Trunks brought and a little bit of when she and her father were fixing Android 16. Clone 18 is equipped with cores that allow her to still have safe infinite energy but without the bomb. An added quip is that she can give/share her energy with others but there's a cool down and she has to be able to touch the target for 5 seconds to transfer energy.
Ways into my Super 18 comic, while in the fusion Clone 18 starts to absorb some of normal 18's memories pre-Cell, before she met Krillin. Clone 18 starts to exhibits her old arrogant ways and normal 18 has to contend with trying to compromise with Clone 18 so that she can regain control of the Fusion while fighting S17.
Pre-fusion, Clone 18 had no attributes so more like a clean slate. Upon absorbing normal 18's memories the longer they remain fused, she's acquiring all of normal 18's mentality she's ever experienced. That's why while they were in the fusion, Clone 18 starts to rebel and not understanding normal 18's motives and what she's fighting for.

Gamma 1 visit 18, confronting her about betraying the red ribbon army. They fight, he overpowers her and like Piccolo, it became a pride issue. So she asked Bulma to upgrade her, which she did.
My take on Super 18.
When I was looking back on Super 17 design, the only the remotely close to his normal clothing was the scarf. Everything had nothing to do with his original clothing unless you count the pants.
So I wanted to do the same with 18. I took shoulder pad thingy from android 14 design

Sport weekend
Started off watching the Lion play the Hurricanes in the Super 18 Rugby semi final, just before half time the Lions were 22 - 3 behind, they ended up winning the game 44 - 29, one of the best come from behind victories I have seen in a while. The Lions will now be up against the Crusaders in the final, it would be nice to have a non New Zealand team win for a change.
Sunday started off with me downloading UFC 214 main card, Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier DC, There has been crazy beef between these 2 over the last few years, the only person to have beaten Cormier has been Jones in a previous title shot. Since then Jones was stripped of his belt due to a DUI and drug charges. This was a well balanced fight with the first 3 rounds slightly in favour of Jones, but this could still have gone either way, in the 4th round Jones kicked Cormier to the head then hit him with a flurry of hammer fists before the ref called the fight, Jones had won by knockout! D.C. Had never been knocked out before. When Jon was interviewed after the fight, he spoke humbly about D.C. It was great to see his return to UFC and the manner in which he handled things.
Things that I have taken from this weekend is no matter how bleak things may seem with motivation and will anything is possible.
