Genuine question - does anyone have any theories about where the servants are in Whitby?

I mean, is this just an "I'm so alone" (servant in the room tending the fire goes unmentioned) type ignoring the lower class and treating them as if they're invisible? That doesn't seem to fully jive with the events of today's entry, where Mina searched the house and would surely have asked a maid or someone if they were there (then again, it was 3am). They also are mentioned in other places in the novel so it's not like they are always invisible. I also feel like they might have gotten caught sneaking home at dawn if there were servants getting ready for the day, but it isn't mentioned. And maybe there's something with Mina being put in sole charge of keeping Lucy in at night as well...

But I can't believe Mrs. Westenra and Lucy are staying here for so long with no servants at all. So maybe only a few who don't live in the main apartment (?) or something and thus missed tonight's events?

Kopy / Tentenko - Super Mild - split release of electronics from Japan (TAL)

This split release unites two female underground acts, both of whom have recently become pivotal parts of the contemporary electronic musical landscape in Japan. Hot on the heels of the acclaimed PAREDO EP compilation (TAL12), which has been released in May 2019 (and also includes contributions from Lena Willikens and Miki Yui), the SUPER MILD split album is the second outing by KOPY and TENTENKO on TAL. Their newest works punctuate their highly individual approaches to contemporary experimental dance music. TENTENKO is a Tokyo-based electronic music producer. Her career began in 2013 when she joined the mainstream idol group BIS. Immediately after her departure from BIS in 2014 she commenced work on her solo project under her artist name TENTENKO. Since then she has radically reinvented her music away from glossy J-POP towards weird and industrial rooted dancefloor. TENTENKO first made a name for herself on the alternative Japanese music scene with a steady flow of live performances as well as collaborations with members of the legendary Japanese noise band HIJOKAIDAN. For a few years now KOPY has been an unpredictable and charismatic part of the vital electronic music scene of Osaka. She has quickly garnered a reputation for creating her live sets exclusively with borrowed electronic equipment. Her name KOPY very much originates from this "concept". Apart from a few performances at Düsseldorfs famous nightspot SALON DES AMATEURS, she has been invited by LENA WILLIKENS to her showcase at the MEAKUSMA FESTIVAL in 2018. Her sinister dancefloor mystique is heavily steeped in the free spirited noise and rhythm cultures of her hometown.

Rocket, come on.

My friend and I were discussing Infinity War, I having seen it since I like 90% of the MCU whereas she didn’t bother and read the entire plot of the film on Wikipedia. She pointed something out to me when I mentioned I’d skin Rocket, a character I’d grown to really love by the end of Guardians Vol 2, if he tried to steal Bucky’s arm. “I kind of hate that ongoing joke of rocket stealing prosthetics ngl”

This hadn’t quite hit me, but it is an ongoing joke and it’s not even funny anymore. All I would’ve needed was for him not to laugh and say “I’ll get that arm.” It’s not funny anymore, it’s not a fun character quirk, it’s annoying. I mean think about it with Bucky- he’s had enough shit happen and clearly loves and immensely respects Wakanda. There is so much significance in his ability to be his own man and be physically/mentally cared for rather than used and abused.

I’m just angry now thinking fo Rocket stealing prosthetics. The joke is stale and it’s not edgy. The funny part of it the first and second times it was used in Guardians 1 is that he’s an asshole, but it’s such a simplistic shitty thing to do with a stupid motivation that was addressed by Yandu in Guardians 2! Come on, Marvel, let the joke die already.

Was musing on how beautiful this day is and my brain immediately piped up you know what make it more beautiful? If you could leap from rooftop to Rooftop like a freaking Shimada. Has anyone else had that urge, that visceral Daydream of running around rooftops like Vigilantes or superheroes or ninjas?
