Hydrox, the original oreo
Ignore the ugly moist hide box from dollar tree.
Also that bowl in the back looks like a food bowl but he will only eat bugs on the ground and that is his slightly warmed bed on the hot side of his enclosure and no he is not weird it's natural probably
Novac is a weird little fellow. He’s about eight months old and is what I lovingly call a bargain bin super snow. The reason I say “bargain bin” is that the little guy cost me thirty bucks. He’s the result of a super snow het eclipse and a total eclipse breeding, so hypothetically he could throw total eclipse kids since he’s het for it. I won’t be breeding, though. He’s a good kid- eats his bugs real well and is the only leo I have who will sit on my shoulder for more than a second. Of course, he screams at me if I try to take him off of my shoulder... He’ll also run up and headbutt me when I put my hand in the cage sometimes (which is why I bought him, actually), and he LOVES to climb. I made him a climbing wall out of a washcloth and he really digs it.
Pea has required force-feeding of roaches for a year. Usually, once the roach is in her mouth, she'll swallow it. Now she won't even swallow the roach. As you can see in the vid, the roach is still alive but it doesn’t stimulate her to eat it. I tried moving it around in her mouth to see if that would work. After a while, she’ll just drop the roach.
She is currently on antibiotics for a respiratory infection, so that might be the reason her feeding is worse. In the meantime, she's getting Carnivore Care.
I’m open to suggestions. I might just have to wait out the course of antibiotics to see if things improve. Her activity has really increased since starting treatment. I was hoping that her appetite would also improve.
Another video on feeding time with Cannoli - this is very typical behaviour for him. He gets excited and very TOL and eventually backs up so much that he loses sight of his prey. Luckily he’s really into food so we don’t ever have any issues with him eating, it just takes a little longer than normal
My super snow isn't having any of this bullshit today
I love this kid
