More Japanese book stuff, first pic is of DoD. I like the added symbols that each tribe has. Also tiny Glory is hilarious.

Japanese WoF Book cover for book 1. Honestly whoever is coming up with the designs for the WoF show (it got picked up again for people that don't know) they should take some notes from the Japanese cover.
Sacrificial Goat Theory
What if Ralsei has to be sacrificed to save the world. Ralsei has been going through an arc of becoming an independent person, something more than just a being made to serve lighteners (plus having more character/emotional moments with Susie). They are learning what it is actually like to have friends and be something more than a tool for lighteners which goes against his fated role as a sacrifice to save the world.
It would also explain why Susie when seeing the final part of the prophecy was patting Ralsei and saying that whatever she saw wouldn't happen, Susie is comforting Ralsei cause she doesn't want that fate for him especially not after having emotional charter moments with him. Then of course when you talk to Ralsei after that scene Ralsei has blood on him which could possibly elude to his predestined role as sacrificial fodder.
Then of course there is all Ralsei's talk about how he says if there's any pain that he could take in place of Kris and Susie he would take it, how if he's a bad friend for not being able to go to the light world to just move in and forget about him, and why he previously had the mindset that darkness only purpose is to server lighteners. He believes this cause it would make his eventual death not as emotionally devastating to Kris and Susie who he is supposed to keep happy, plus if he hadn't grown as a character and learned what it's like to be an actual person his predetermined death wouldn't be a massive weight hanging over him, which again would explain why it seems like Susie is comforting Ralsei after seeing the end of the prophecy.
This is a massive shot in the dark but I think it's a cool concept and at the very least a cool idea to play with until the next chapters come out.
