who holds the umbrella when it rains: Mick holds it over himself. If Kara happens to be under the umbrella too, well, he can’t help that. “Mick, you pulled me under the umbrella.” “Whatever.”
who is the grumpiest in the morning: Mick, to the general surprise of no one on the planet.
who worries more when the other is sick/hurt: People see more of Kara worrying about Mick, but on the rare occasions when Kara ACTUALLY gets hurt? Like when Kryptonite comes into play? The world will burn, if it has to, to keep her safe.
who plays pranks on the other: Kara initiates it, for sure. Nothing mean-spirited, and she’s very careful not to do anything that could actually hurt him. Generally, it’s just things like scattering twenty plastic chickens around his bedroom, and waiting for him to find them.
who is always the first to suggest cuddling on the sofa: Kara, definitely. She pouts until he caves, or simply flops down beside him, cuddling up.
who insists on creating nicknames for the other: Mick did this about five minutes after meeting her, right? But Kara does call him Micky Mouse sometimes, especially after meeting Axel. Literally nobody believes that he doesn’t even complain, but as Mick points out, “What am I gonna do?”
who drools on the other when they’re asleep: Kara, and Mick teases her relentlessly about it.
who says ‘I love you’ first: Kara. Mick shakes his head. “No, ya don’t. Just think you do.” He can’t believe that this is going to last, because he’s used to getting hurt. She starts casually slipping it into daily conversation, until he finally accepts it. “Love ya,” he mutters gruffly one day, and the glow on her face rivals any fire he’s ever seen.
