woke up from a stress nap to see playing on my laptop some guys dressed like the Green Goblin and Magneto atop a parade float manhandling some rita repulsa-looking character* i've never heard of while Daredevil seemingly checks out a side door to hear what all the fuss is about. i was awake long enough to take a photo and then fell asleep again. this was during a televised Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1989 apparently

*edit: oh my god. please watch this. (also that's singer Melba Moore, not an OC they invented for the parade like i was possibly maybe thinking before)

My second year as Supergirl at Superhero Camp!

By the time the costumed heroes arrived as a final surprise, the campers (young people with disabilities, ages 9 to young adult) had already designed their own characters, learned stage combat, gone flying, and met the real-life superheroes of the police and fire departments. And they still had energy to be excited about us!

Superhero Camp is held annually in Lemont, Illinois, and organized by Artful Impact.
