At the mention of Spider-Man, there's a shift in the sneering green mask lingering far too closely to Beth's face. The poisonous yellow eyes set within it turn baneful and cold, and the sneer morphs into a grimace. And when she designates Octavius as the one person here who might offer her mercy, the Goblin's clutch on her chin tightens even more; the talons of his gauntlets now pierce forcefully into her skin, drawing small blooms of blood.
"You know somethin', honey? You're no fun at all." His other hand rears back, and for an instant it's not clear whether he intends to strike her or slap the tape back over her mouth in a most bruising fashion... or perhaps both at once.
But before the question can truly be answered by action, a pneumatic whine sounds, and a metal claw clatters around the Goblin's wrist.
"You knock those teeth out, how many do you think you'll have left when Spider-Man's done with you?"
The Goblin snarls, releases Beth's face, and rounds on the green-clad scientist. "Put your claws on me again, Octavius, and you'll be fried calamari before the itsy-bitsy spider ever finds this little water spout."
He triggers an electrical surge from the gripped gauntlet that instantly inspires the claw to release him, and wrenches his arm away forcefully. An imaginative mind sharing space with them might conceive that the injured tentacle actually yelps at the shock while recoiling. The Goblin then prowls away, apparently content to consult a bank of computer screens sitting idle nearby.
In his place, Octavius approaches the wheelchair to which she's been secured. His legs are in motion, but he seems to have the bulk of his weight -- and the considerable weight of his mechanical harness -- borne by the lower two tentacles. The upper two hang with their 'palms' open on either side of him, each one staring at Beth with a gleaming red multispectral scanner lens. For a long moment, he stares at her with his lips pursed.
"Your Level 1 overshare information was certainly an impressive array of tear-jerking rage bait. I'd even wager no more than ten percent of it was untrue. But I'm surprised you'd pinpoint me as the most charitable among us. You work for SHIELD, so you've certainly seen my criminal record. It reflects neither reason nor charity."
He circles around behind the wheelchair, unseats the brakes, and begins wheeling her towards a concrete-walled corridor. The layout of the space they've been occupying is square, right angles on every side, and the hallway is no different. There does not appear to be any natural light here, and no light bulbs in evidence. The only provided illumination is from small headlamps mounted in the palms of his tentacles' claws, which only serve to deepen long shadows.
He abruptly wheels her ninety degrees to the right, and sure enough, there's a doorway that leads to a small cubicle of a restroom. But there is no actual door to separate them from one another.
"Running sink, running toilet, one-ply paper. I regret the lack of hygiene products." A clink, and the popping of a padlock, followed by the relaxing of chains that keep her upper body bound to the chair. Another click, followed by an easing of the metal cuffs holding her wrists behind her -- and then a slicing of his claws through the duct tape hastily wrapped about her legs to keep them held to the footrests. Gargan had been sloppy about that.
Octavius steps to one side of the door and keeps his back turned to it, but one tentacle remains to shine a light into the space. It also hovers as though watching her intently.
His voice bounces oddly against the wall opposite him before carrying into the bathroom. "You're smart enough to know invoking Spider-Man would anger the Goblin. It must have been a calculated risk. Was it calculated properly?"
Sinister Sapphics Comic Arc Adaptations
tldr; in my Earth-693 Sinister Sapphics AU: Harry Osborn is a modified clone of Norman (Emily was never real), Otto achieves most of Peter's transition goals during the superior arc and that Doesn't solve her own gender feelings, and we're working with a more fucked up version of the Hunted arc!

I’m afraid that’s exactly what happened to me with Willem Dafoe as the green goblin so it’s nice to know that we’re all in the freak trenches together
