Ok so I've started playing through a new game, Superhot, it's marketed as a first person shooter with a twist. I usually don't like first person shooter games or even brawler games usually but I thought the physics in this one was cool so I wanted to try it out (I'm a slut for games with weird physics components). So time is frozen unless you're moving. So you can stop and the bullets will stop in the air. You move and the opponent's can reload their guns. You have to move to reload your own. When I say this game is revolutionizing whatever the fuck category its in. Like is it a first person shooter yes but also like not at all.

The game starts with you texting you friend, but it's on a very old style like dial up internet screen. Your friend is trying to convince you to play the game. So your playing as someone playing a video game. At this point I thought that it was going to be a retro style shooter game, which I was cool with I mean I love half-life, but then you start the first level and your put into this very polished clean almost testing style room. Now I'm just confused what the games aesthetic is supposed to be. You finish the level, and there's an announcer voice (think smash Bros) repeating superhot. Now I'm extra confused because it seems like this is three different types of games. It's not fitting into my little game genre boxes. A few more levels and your texting you friend again, but something is wrong with the game and it's glitching and your able to move around the level without it running. When you go back to the home page it says secret not cracked. The whole game feels like its not lining up. There's something your missing

Anyway, I'm partway through now and I'm about to be insufferable about this game. If you liked portal, half-life, Stanley parable, really any fucked up psychological or puzzel games you absolutely need to check this out.
