Superman & Lois Adds a Smallville Reporter to Its Cast

Sofia Hasmik will join the cast of Superman & Lois as Smallville Gazette reporter Chrissy Beppo, who is described as a 'go-getter' who meets her idol.

Sofia Hasmik will join the cast of Superman & Lois as Smallville Gazette reporter Chrissy Beppo, who is described as a 'go-getter' who meets her idol.

Sofia Hasmik has joined the cast of Superman and Lois.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Hasmik will portray Chrissy Beppo, a reporter for the Smallville Gazette. Chrissy is described as a "go-getter with dreams of bigger and better things," until "a chance encounter with her idol changes her life trajectory." She also apparently "has a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time."

Superman and Lois will spin out of the events of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover. Clark Kent and Lois Lane move back to Smallville to raise their sons, Jonathan and Jordan. The official synopsis hints that the Kents will "come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever - dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society." They will also reunite with Clark's childhood friend, Lana Lang, who is married and has a daughter. The Flash's Todd Helbing serves as series showrunner, with Greg Berlanti attached as a producer.

“Hey, Jordan! Bro, I saw what happened in Belize yesterday. That was awesome!”

“Uh, yeah…” Jordan didn’t even get a chance to reply before the random college kid whose name he didn’t even know had hustled off in a different direction. That was odd. His memory was pretty decent with that kind of thing, and it didn’t make sense for some random person to somehow know who he was just by looks alone. That wasn’t the kind of guy Jordan was, and he was more than okay with that.

But now that he was looking, he could tell that a few other people had noticed him. He got a shy smile from a girl who looked young enough to be a freshman, a grin from another guy who seemed to be around Jordan’s age, and even a nod from someone old enough to be a tenured professor.

It was really weird. Jordan was a textbook normal guy; why would anyone care about seeing him walking through the quad with the hundreds of other normal students? Hitching his backpack up, Jordan ducked his head lower and picked up the pace. It was probably just school stress. One too many late nights with not enough time to decompress and he was reading way too much into random interactions.
