A massive Angel Sketch Page, including a Supermental Design for Angel, an odd face swap where he takes more of GSP's face, and references to @fennecfics-the-simp-king and @shy-cryptic 's doodles they made of Angel! Other references include Angel hosting "Guess The Answer You Fucking Idiot (the gameshow and insult)" from Episode 2, the Magic from Episode 20, and the bow from Episode 39.
Something else I really wanna touch on more as I do stuff with Angel is the fact that he definitely inherited some of Khonjin's power. How much of it, I haven't fully decided yet. But it's definitely something that throws him off from time to time. Also I really like the idea of Angel being genderfluid, which is why the bow doesn't make him sound different!
BACK at it with Ludicra thanks to a certain someone who's also been sharing their SUPERMENTAL oc lately (thank you dude)
This idea is meant to follow the same rough line as one of my other ideas, where Pent leaves Ludicra behind at his apartment
But instead of dying taking down Déja, it turns out her and Smack were fighting a fake while the actual Déja went and caused mayhem
Including breaking down the apartment
And I wrote a little drabble for it! I've realized way too late that I did a little fuck up because Shelby's not supposed to have a sense of self again at this point in the idea but eh, minor details, not a big deal, it's not like you won't know who the character is SO
Here you go:
Shelby felt everything settle. It shouldn't have settled, they were in the middle of taking down Déja, and yet..
Suddenly, it did not matter. It literally didn't matter. One butterfly was all it took for Shelby to realize every blow had been for naught. She turned to Smack.
"Smack, we gotta go. Now."
Smack didn't need to be told twice. He didn't know, he didn't see, but it didn't matter. When Shelby meant business, she meant business.
The two took off, Shelby beelining back to the apartment with Smack in tow.
The butterfly fluttered right along with them. And soon, there were more. It wasn't long until they had a little squadron of at least 5 butterflies dancing about at breakneck speed.
When they got to the apartment, it was in ruin. Much like everything else in Nickville.
"LUDICRA!" Shelby shouted first, voice shrill. Her eyes frantically darted around the area.
"Guys!" A response came; Strained.
The little butterfly cluster floated down, and joined another group some ways away. The most of them settled on a big rubble pile, and pinned between the chunks of drywall, cement, and whatever other needlessly heavy and sharp materials went into the walls of a single damn building,
was Ludicra.
"Ludicra!" The duo shouted, a healthy amount of relief and worry bleeding into both of them.
Shelby was relieved she didn't walk up on Ludicra getting rent by Déja.. but something inside her still wrenched at the sight.
"I'm okay, guys..! I promise.." Ludicra forced.
Shelby moved before Smack could. She was at their side. The butterflies dispersed at the movement. Her gaze locked onto them a moment before she pried it away to focus on the rubble, and Smack followed, doing the same.
"Slow! Slow!" Ludicra advised with a bit of frenzy. "I-If you're not careful, you might make more of the rubble cave in on itself.." Ludicra murmured.
Despite this fact, they wriggled. "Oh, come on, I can get out of th- fUCK!"
It was hard to say what they were trying to do after that, but if Smack had to guess, he would've assumed they made some reflexive attempt to curl in on themself.
He put a hand on their only free arm to try and get them to relax. After a bit of observing, Smack had his hands on one chunk of rubble, and Shelby on one directly across.
"On three."
"One.."
"Two.."
"Three!"
And with a good tug, they both yanked their respective pieces aside, ensuring neither would topple in once the other wasn't holding it's load.
"GUYS!"
There was a flash of movement. A different slab of wall rolled across little pebbles and into the little crater- nearly a makeshift coffin, Shelby realized- that Ludicra was in, Ludicra made an attempt to roll over, only making it halfway before the heavy object scraped their knee, and Smack stretched his arms out, just barely catching the heavy debris.
The three shared a sigh of relief, and with an extra lift from Shelby, Smack was able to toss the rubble aside.
Ludicra didn't even bother to think after that. They could move. Despite the blood only starting to rush back into their cold legs, or the ache that tore through their right arm and into their collar, they could move.
They sat up with barely so much as a wince and reached for Shelby, who wasted no time in pulling them in. They wrapped their arms around her neck the second they could, settling into the warmth and security.
As much as Ludicra had tried to talk themself down during the seemingly endless period that they were trapped, they'd been terrified. Unable to wriggle a single stone loose- knowing that success could mean a 50 pound rock pressing into the back of their ribs- their ribs, which were already uncomfortably warped against the jagged points of stones below. Steadily losing feeling in their legs, unsure if it was a problem of the spine or something else, and an ache up their right arm that, despite how easy would have been, and how frequently they used the limb on a daily basis, or how spindly it was, they couldn't slip it through a single gap just to stretch it and observe the damage.
Luckily, Smack seemed to be on top of that now that they were free.
"Oh my god.."
Shelby looked up at Smack, followed his gaze, then drew back from Ludicra, observing their arm.
Along with having every possibility of being broken, it seemed the vast majority of their upper arm had it's surface shredded by who knows what. Shelby swore she saw red for half a second at the potential prospect of Déja's stupid-ass gauntlets being what dug into and tore Ludicra's skin.
There was some sort of relief when Ludicra's expression indicated obliviousness to the gash's existence prior to that moment.
They eyed it a moment, and their stomach twisted. They buried their face back in Shelby's shoulder.
All that was left to do was pray the hospital was still intact.
And that said hospital wouldn't have a problem with two well-known thieves strolling by.
Shelby let out a breath as she stood and scooped Ludicra into her arms, then turned to Smack.
