Holyyyy crap, this was buried in my drafts and I totally forgot about it? orz Ugh, I’m a flake. Not news, I know.

Anyways, let’s just say I have no plans to NOT continue Moon Lovers Collection? lmao I have some prompts I never got to that will end up there if I complete them, and if I write anything short like with Splash Splash Love, it’ll go in there too.

Gift (aka Anything You Can Do) was such a long time ago, I honestly don’t remember what inspired me besides the actual prompt itself. lmao Though the hectic family setting came from the Wang family size in combination with what the holidays are like with my actual family (and the similar number of relatives). The idea for the Scarlet Heart video game sort of came from the drama special Lucid Dream/Snow Lotus that I’ve forever wanted to do a SoSoo version of. :x

In the drama, everyone speaks Ancient!Korean which is a bit different from what Modern!Korean sounds like. Among the differences, one that has never ceased to make me laugh is the fact that though the princes each have names that have beautiful Hanja meanings, to the average listener, the names sometimes sound a bit off. The best parallels come from the clashing of the same language... especially when an asshole like me is watching.

The surname Wang (王) means “king” in both modern and ancient Korean. However, colloquially, wang means “huge” or “super fucking big.”

America: What is your favorite place to eat?—-> Well, there was this amazing fondue place that @perrydowning brought me to, and the dessert is to die for. (Perry, next time we need to go just for the salad and dessert!) //// But around here where I live, I would have to say Hugo’s. It’s this total dive bar with the most amazing hamburgers that’s shoved into a tiny basement downtown. You have to go down stairs outside to get to it. But oh my goooooosh their swiss and mushroom burger, and the juices just dripping everywhere…. *dreamy eyes*

Korea: What is one thing you accomplished by yourself?—-> The easy answer would be my B.A. and one of my papers being published in the uni’s academic journal. So that is an answer, yes. But… I also accomplished writing. I dove in with no one to hold my hand, and I came up swimming, thoroughly enjoy myself and doing damn good. So that I did by myself… but I could never have become what I am today with writing (confident and happy and encouraged) if it weren’t for my lovely betas @cuthian and @perrydowning , and my friends @grlie-girl and @thedarkside-and-thelight who pushed and pushed and listened to my rambling all the time, and my two betas are somehow able to read my ridiculous ‘stream of consciousness’ notes and just get me. So… yeah. I accomplished the start and establishment of my writing myself, but these ladies pushed me even further into something I never thought I’d ever become. Thank you, wonderfuls. ❤️

Canada because my best friend lives there and she’ll beat me up if I don’t visit within the next few years lmao. Also England because I’ve always kind of been an anglophile, I’ve just kind of branched out in my biases. And Japan for similar weeb reasons. I’ve had contact with anime/Japan since I was 5.

black nail polish: what do you do to pamper yourself? 

I buy clothes and shoes. You’d think it’d be books, but no, it’s usually a cute blouse or dress and matching shoes. My mom is glad at this sudden late twenties girly shift, you can bet.

24. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one

I liked Soo in There were sweet dreams in the night. To build her personality and still be loyal to canon, I developed her in a way that, since she lost all that she held dear, it’d feel natural that she’d protect the person who was most important to her. Canonically Soo would never hurt anyone, so she couldn’t be attached to Jung in any way so she wouldn’t feel too guilty about his demise. Which isn’t to say she doesn’t feel guilty about death and harm, but that’s precisely why she tried to keep herself and So isolated and in peace and embraced the myth of the woods. I liked making a darker, more selfish Soo who was pampered by So (he was the one who dolled her up).
