How do you like your fictional drama men?
Lovestruck himbos?
Angsty and feral?
Emotionally closed off with little immaturity on the side?
I like my fictional men morally grey/black:
Damaged:
And unhinhed:
The ven diagram for most of these is a circle 😭😭😭

Wang So, you would have been so spoilt if you could have been courted by Seong Hui Ju in your modern day lifetime. I-An doesn’t even know what it’s like to yearn as you did!
Rest in power, my king ✊
(It might be 10 years since Moon Lovers, but I’ll never get over them)
after almost nine years since its finale, i rewatched Scarlet Heart and let me tell you that my feelings haven't changed one bit
this drama continues to be my favorite of all time and i still love Wang So deeply. of course, given the fact that i'm older (and supposedly wiser) there are things he did that made me go "Yeah, you messed up a bit there" (won't mention Hae Soo on this one because i recognized the things she messed up the first time i watched it) but all in all, he still is my favorite male lead in a drama
what i'll say is that the first time i watched it a few details really went over my head because i was hyper focused on the romance between Hae Soo and Wang So alone
for example, i could understand Yeon Hwa's motivations a bit more (even though i still hate her and hardly disagree with most, if not all, the things she's done)
also, i could see that Wang So's future wasn't so miserable and was probably lit up by the presence of his daughter (this time around i realized that he picked up right away the fact that the girl was his and not Jung's), whereas Baek Ah's life was probably a bit more sad given everything and everyone he had lost
and this time i could understand more Hae Soo's reluctance to be around Wang So (he really did not care about her for the first few episodes)
also, having known what i now know about the cut out scene, the ending felt more hopeful than when i first watched it
anyway, all of this to say this is my top 1 drama forever and ever, and i'm still very much in love with Wang So (maybe i have a thing for masked men covered with the blood of those who tried to harm the woman they love?) 🤔
