Thank you for the questions pixie!! Sorry it took me so long to get to it :)
🐇 You know, I think at this point I might prefer reader inserts! The thing is, I very much write my reader inserts with a personality. Now, whether that's acceptable or not is hotly debated within the community. My argument is that no matter what the reader-insert will have a personality that the readers can or can't project themselves onto — if you write them as super quiet/nonresponsive to make them more "generic", a shitton of people will absolutely not be able to insert themselves into them. So, might as well make them compelling. As a result, I write a lot of anxious/shy reader-inserts that are pretty developped and while I know for a fact some people won't relate, I want to make sure the people that do really do.
Anyway, I know a lot of people really dislike the second person POV but I really enjoy it and I find it a ton of fun to write. It's not really ~acceptable~ to use it outside of fandom, so I like to do it as much as I can within it, since it's the main opportunity to do so.
🍄 Oooh, I'll do one for Inukag. I've seen a post going around about people 'not being soulmates but choosing each other' and imo that is the epitome of Inukag. Kagome being Kikyo's reincarnation is entirely incidental to their love for each other.
So my headcanon, one that I've held for a very long time, is that Kagome wouldn't fall in love with Inuyasha's reincarnation. In a world where the well doesn't reopen and she meets Inuyasha's reincarnation 500 years in the future, she doesn't fall in love with him. She can't. If she realizes, she's probably intrigued, interested, feels a pull towards him... but this 'Inuyasha' grew up in the modern world. He's softer around the edges, gentler. He's not as brave. He's more selfish. He's not her Inuyasha. Even if she sees him around a few times, even if it's so important to her that he be fully happy this time around, she doesn't fall in love with him. She can't. Inuyasha is her person, and that guy... just isn't him.
And then the well reopens, because I'm not a monster.
This isn't too happy but I've been toying with it in my head for a long time lol
