from the prompt: Cat Grant is remodeling her penthouse; Kara Danvers is the super in-demand contractor who shows up in overalls with a tool-belt and measuring tape ready to give Cat all she wants and needs (.... in her newly remodeled home).

Cat Grant wanted the best contractor in National City to remodel her house

Apparently that's K. Danvers

The day for the contractor to start arrives and instead of a Kyle or a Keith or a Kevin she gets a Kara

and oh my god she's a Kara

Cat wasn't expecting chiseled by the gods, captivating eyes, smile like a sunshine, Kara Danvers

At first, Cat was just going to watch from her room but plans change and it was a really great and perfect day to lounge by the pool

(And if she changed clothes, well, no one has to know)

Of course Kara is wearing a shirt when she arrives but once she starts working the shirt goes off and those perfect muscles are on display...

Luckily for Cat, she had a drink in hand to quench that thirst.

Kara is a hard worker, still no one can blame Cat for wanting to supervise

After a while, Cat decides to get another drink and while she's walking through the mess, she slips.

and starts falling.

the fall never comes tho

because Kara was there to catch her.

and if something happens after that, they can always blame it in the heat of the moment.

(if kara took longer than she usually would to finish the renovations, well...)

Fanfics Update

A little update about my current writing projects.

Not Forgotten: There are two chapters currently being beta-ed.  This one is almost to the finish line. I have only a few happy chapters coming up.

Blooming Flowers: Next chapter is a draft and will likely stay so until I get the two chapters of Not Forgotten posted.

Surf & Stitch: Next chapter is mapped out, but no draft yet. It’s probably going to be a while before the next chapter, unless I find a rush of inspiration for the next chapter.

Supergirl Secret Santa: I’m writing for both the rare-pair/Season 1 and the Supercorp/Sanvers secret santa and I got all of my prompts! I have one of my prompt already on first draft (it was a rather inspiring one).

Upcoming project:  On ice atm.  I really don’t feel like taking on 3 different fanfic at once was such a good idea. So any of my future project are probably going to be started next year at some point

Posting to the AO3 Collection

Done with your secret santa prompt and ready to post it? Here’s what you gotta do. First get your work all ready to go on AO3 (filling in all required information like rating, fandoms, title, summary, etc.), then before you post, go to the Associations section.

Start typing supersanta2018 in the “Post to Collections/Challenges” field and select it from the dropdown. Then in the “Gift this work to” field, type your prompter’s AO3 name and select it from the dropdown.

Once both these fields are properly filled out, go ahead and post your work. It will stay hidden until the Super Santa Femslash 2018 collection is revealed on December 25th! :) Please make sure to add your work to the collection by the deadline of December 20th.

You can view and edit your work before the collection is revealed here. It will be the only one visible to you, so just scroll through till you find it!

Changing Your Publication Date

It’s almost Christmas, and there’s just one last thing for you guys to do! Locate your work(s) in the collection here (yours will be the only one(s) visible to you), then hit the Edit button and skip down to the Associations section. Tick off the “Set a different publication date” box and change the date to Dec 25 2018, then save your work. Voila! Now when the collection is revealed, your work will show up at the top of the Supergirl tag. Happy Christmas Eve, everyone!

Prompts should now be out! If you haven’t gotten yours yet, check your spam filter and contact me if you need the email resent.

Everyone should be able to fill at least one of the two prompts assigned to them, but if for some reason you are unable to fill either prompt, let me know asap.

If one of your prompts is for a different ship but you really like the prompt, try asking your prompter on anon if you can do that prompt for the ship of your choice.

The goal is not only to give them something they’ll enjoy, but also for everyone to have fun, so it can’t hurt to reach out and see.

Speaking of fun, why not write a Dear Santa letter on your blog for your santa to read? (Example letter here.)

What is Super Santa Femslash? A gift exchange for Supergirl femslash ships. Instead of physical presents, participants will gift each other fanworks on AO3. Fanworks may include fic (min 1000 words), art, manips/edits, gifsets, or fanvids. All works will be revealed on Christmas Day.

How do I join? Fill out the sign-up form: HERE. Sign-ups close at 11:59 EST on October 25th, and prompts will go out October 30th. Feel free to reblog the sign up post (here) to get the word out!

What do I have to submit? Two prompts, either for the same ship or two different ones. Try to make your prompts somewhat different, so your santa can pick the one they like best, and have as much fun filling as you have receiving.

What should I do once I get my prompts? Once you’ve decided which of the two prompts you’d like to fill, you may submit your work to the collection at any time. There will be a tutorial coming shortly.

What will I get from my santa? Once December 25th rolls around, the collection will be revealed, and your santa will have posted one of your two prompts for you to enjoy.

Do my prompts have to be Christmas related? Nope! All themes are welcome. Last year’s collection had a wide variety of themes and ratings.

So what should my prompts look like? Vague prompts like “fluff” don’t give your santa a good idea of what you want, while overly specific prompts don’t leave much room for creativity. An example of a good prompt is “Cat/Kara - everyone thinks they’re already dating.”

What if I want a prompt for a ship not listed on the form? To keep the number of entries manageable, prompts are limited to season one ships, crossover ships, and minor ships from later seasons. Please message me if there’s a smaller ship you’re interested in that’s not currently on the list.

What if I need to edit my prompts later? Sign-up forms are editable ‪until October 15th, by using the link provided when you submitted your form. Message me before submissions close if you are unable to access your form.

What if I’m not sure if I can participate? You can still participate by leaving kudos and comments on the completed works when they’re revealed. But we don’t want to risk someone not getting a gift, so please only sign up if you’re reasonably certain you’ll be able to fill your prompt.

What if I do have to drop out? If you need to drop out of the exchange, please let me know as soon as possible so I can try to find someone else to fill your prompt.

Do I need a tumblr account to participate? Only an AO3 account is needed, but if you do have a tumblr, feel free to send anon messages to your giftee. Just make sure not to discuss your prompt fill on tumblr, since secrecy is half the fun.

Only one of these prompts is something I can fill. What gives? With so many wonderful options to choose from, matching everyone 100% would be impossible. The sorting makes sure at least one of the prompts is something you can fill, but if there’s a prompt you really like that’s not for a ship or medium you can fill, let me know and I’ll get with your giftee to see what we can do.

What if I love both my prompts? You are welcome to surprise your person with an extra gift! Just submit both prompts to the collection. I’m sure your prompter won’t complain ;)

What if I don’t like either of the prompt choices I’m asked to respond to? Try looking for a specific element or two of the prompt that you find appealing to make it work to your art or writing preference. It doesn’t have to match exactly. Just try to make something they will enjoy. If you truly don’t feel capable of filling either prompt, please let me know as soon as possible that you will be dropping out.

When is my fill due? All works should be posted to the collection by December 20th.‬
