Jess is gross and its surprising that he’s the most popular boyfriend. When he basically pressures Rory in a relationship with him. Dean has a temper sometimes, but its usually justified. I hope they do good with the rival in terms of Dean. Jared said he liked it, so I’m not that worried about it.

Literally I just passed the episode where Jess tries to sleep with Rory at a house party and doesn't stop groping and trying to undress her despite her repeatedly telling him to stop. Why did it tilt your world? I think I maybe agree that it had the same effect on me, related to the fact that this was a proper relationship Sam was building and as far as he knew this was his reality for the indefinite future. I know the ‘Amelia wasn’t real’ headcanon is popular but I gotta say it’s not something I subscribe to. I worry that it often comes from a ‘Sam should have looked for Dean’ i.e. ‘Sam was definitely at fault’ kind of place, not that I am saying that’s where you are coming from. And what I like about Sam/Amelia, whenever I watch those bits, is that it is a real relationship - it’s not perfect or dreamlike, it’s complicated because they are both adults and they’re trying to negotiate the real problem of sharing your life with another person with all their hangups and history and habits etc etc. And Sam being tender and sweet and in a relationship arghhh I love it.

Because Sam has closed his heart to all bar his brother and this shows us he is still like us and wanting a connection. Making him more human and also raising his godlikeness

Yes I think you’re right about the connection thing - any time Sam actually says something or shows that he is lonely and would actually want to connect with people if he could (like in ‘Baby’ when he says about wanting more, which gave me another crisis recently), it always really gets me.

Haha I don’t know if it was consciously contributing but it certainly may have been, I did really like that ficlet (NSFW reader insert at the link). I guess if pushed I would nominate ‘baby’ as Sam’s likely endearment of choice but yeah argh it’s just seeing it in action discombobulates me
