Person: why are you crying?
Me: well there’s this little fruit fly that’s been living in my room for the past week. Just one little fruit fly. I named him George because he’s orange and I think it fits him. Being the introvert I am, having his presence around when I’m alone in my room is reassuring in a sense. I was also thinking how HE chose ME. I have a cat and a dog, but I bought them, so their kind of stuck with me no matter what. They didn’t choose to have me in their lives. But George chose me, and that makes me really happy, to think that a being as small as a fly enjoys my presence and chose to put me in their life.
Person: then why are you crying?
Me: BECAUSE WHAT IF HE GETS SQUISHED?!
